A True Story in Honor of AtomicTwatCpl

Here is a true story in honor of one of our great bloggers here, AtomicTwatCpl

The names in this true story have all been changed to protect the innocent and not so innocent.

Chuck and Bambi are engaged to be married. They have been dating/courting for quite some time now. Like most young couples, funds are low and in a small town, there aren't' many things to do to keep you entertained.

So this one particular evening, Chuck decided to take his bride to be to the movies and see if he can get a few gropes and squeezes and perhaps even a bit more in the darkness of the movie. Arriving early, Chuck decides to get the standard popcorn, drinks and candy. When they walk into the theater, there are people already sitting and waiting. Hoping to get a bit frisky, Chuck didn't want to sit too close to the crowd so he and Bambi move closer to the front instead of the back of the theater.

As soon as they sit down, Bambi has to slap Chuck for grabbing her in a more intimate place! Stop that she says. All the lights are on and people are staring at us!

Disgruntled from being shut down so quickly, Chuck grumbles and pouts. Having earlier in the day eaten a large bowl of Red Beans and Rice that Bambi has so graciously and deliciously prepared, some gurgling sounds started to come from Chucks stomach to go along with his grumbling and pouting.

The theater was playing music and showing those paid advertisements and the sound was a bit loud. Really, it was so loud, it was rather distracting and annoying. As the pressure began to build in Chucks stomach, he knew something bad was about to happen. He clinched his but cheeks together in hopes that the feeling might soon go away. He thought to himself that if he hadn't been so cheap and gone across town the the NEW movie theater with the plush soft cushioned seats, he could just let it out into the chair. But Noooooo... He had to be cheap and safe gas and go to the old theater that still had the hard and uncomfortable wooden chairs that pinched you every time you sat down or moved.

By this time, the pain was getting to be too much. He didn't know what to do. So Chuck decided to time his release to the music that was playing too loudly. Unfortunately during the middle of the song, right at the point he decided to let go, the music stopped! Soon there after, with total silence in the theater, this long and LOUD burst of gas expelled from Chuck echoing throughout the theater. The noise was so sudden and loud, Bambi got scared and the popcorn she was holding flew up in the air spilling and flying everywhere. Chuck being totally embarrassed, in less than an instant after releasing his loud and foul fart, Chuck jumps out of his seat onto his feet, turns around looking directly into Bambi's eyes and screams... BAMBI!!!! HOW COULD YOU DO SUCH A THING?

My only question for Bambi is this... And you married him anyway???????

Weekend Started Early

Well last night was pretty good. The weekend started early as I was able to link up with one of our fellow bloggers and a couple other fine people from this place for dinner. One of our great bloggers is traveling right now and she just so happened to stop in to my town. So we used this opportunity to have a small get together. As usual, we reach out at the last second to see if we can get a few others to join us and in typical Houston fashion, people are busy. To our surprise though, during the middle of dinner, I get a phone call and here comes one more!

Don't ya just love this place? With a bit of luck, I'll be having lunch tomorrow with another person from here on Saturday. That is if I don't head to Austin with my buddy. He has a trip to see some friends of hours speak at a conference and has asked me to join him and his wife. I'd love too but the idea of driving to Austin and back in one day just doesn't sounds quite as appeasing as a lunch date with someone from here.

After our dinner last night, I had also already agreed to meet with another friend of mine. Since I was abandoned again (just kidding) by the wife and again, (they are heading to the farm again) I figured it was a good time to play catch up. SO in stride, I stayed out too late again so I'm exhausted today. Looks like I'll be attempting to take a nap this afternoon. Thank goodness today I get to leave work a bit earlier than normal.

Summer is definitely upon us everyone. Stay safe, drink lots of water and KEEP that sun screen on! Have fun everybody!

Life without a PC

Weill this weekend was a nice one with a extra day included. The funny part was that when I was packing everything up to leave, I even packed my PC. Well actually, I put in in my pack back to make the trip but did it make it? NO! So we went almost 4 days without a computer handy. The best part is that I didn't even miss it.

I am able to make the simple quick posts onto that other Faceplace through my phone but you really cant' call it being connected as it's so limited. I did make a few posts to let a few people know I was still alive. I did have a few people text me and that was nice but ask me if I missed this place. There are a few friends I like staying in touch with from here but I sure did not miss any of the drama that has been going on here.

For those who care to listen, it's gotten really old. It's time it all just went goodbye. I was willing to spill the rest of my opinion about this subject matter but then I'd be breaking my own word NOT to spill this place with diarrhea of words that no one cares to listen too coming from me. SO I'll shut up abotu that.

Summer has officially started for my . he is staying up as late as he can because he can. I don't mind really. After a short break from his routine, I hope to get him back on track. Unlike the wife, I need structure and bedtimes. The two of them are night owls and can sleep half the day long.

Summer activities are in the works. This past weekend, we were at the farm doing the yard work and SOME IDIOT!!!! let me use the tractor to cut the grass for 3 hours with a armless and sleeveless T-shirt on!!! Now. the back of my neck and shoulders are almost purple... OUCH! at day 3, it hurts more than it did at day 1. Yes, the idiot was ME.....

The beach is near and camp is near for my as well. Have fun with your families and stay safe. PLEASE keep lots of sun screen and do'nt be stupid like I was and attempt to fry yourself. Just so you know, it HURTS!!!

Have fun all.

Fruit Astrology...WHAT???

Fruit Astrology

Pineapple:

Astro Swami's view for people who's favorite fruit is Pineapple:

You are quick to decide and even quicker to act. You are brave in making career changes; if that is what is to your advantage. You have exceptional organizing abilities and are undaunted by the size of the task at hand. You tend to be self reliant, sincere and honest in your dealings with others.

Though you are not given to making friends very quickly, but once you do, it is for life. You rarely, if ever, make romantic overtures. Your partner is often impressed with your sterling qualities but disappointed in your ability to show affection.
---------------------------------------------------------

Alright now, I've heard about the stars, the cards, the numbers but I don't think I've ever heard of Fruit Astrology. Who gets paid to think this stuff up? So lets look a this some more.

You are quick to decide and even quicker to act. You are brave in making career changes; -- Only sometimes. I am quite flexible and will make instant decisions but I typically prefer to think things through first.

You have exceptional organizing abilities and are undaunted by the size of the task at hand. -- NOPE! I'm dyslexic. I'm Terrible at organizing. Makes me nuts. So does being disorganized!

You tend to be self reliant, sincere and honest in your dealings with others. -- OK so they pegged me on this one.

Though you are not given to making friends very quickly, but once you do, it is for life. -- OK, they got me again. I have some of the BEST friends in the world!

You rarely, if ever, make romantic overtures. -- Alright... I'll just keep my mouth SHUT on this one.

Your partner is often impressed with your sterling qualities but disappointed in your ability to show affection.
-- NOT on YOUR LIFE! it's the opposite in my household. I"M the affectionate one.

Now of the fruit choices, Strawberries weren't even on the list to choose from. For me, it was either Pineapple or a Banana. Picking a fruit really depends upon my mood. I love fruits and vegetables as I do prefer to eat healthy. I can tell you Coconut is absolutely the one I will positively choose Heck NO too every time. it's one of the few foods I Won't eat.

So have you ever heart of the Fruit Astrology before? And how accurate are they at describing you?

As I was sitting next to my wife in church today, she and I were talking about our . Yesterday, he asked him mom to take him somewhere this summer. he wants to visit a place where old people are that don't have anyone to come visit them.

Doesn't' it just make your heart melt to hear your little ones desire to do for others like this?

Now the next question was he wanted to go to Game stop for a new game! grrrr....

A small bit of closure

Well today we finally had a small bit of closure. We held our private service form m BIL out in the country and then spread part of his ashes at the site of our old beach house. Even I started to cry at the beach. I really miss it there and to spread ashes was very surreal. My sat on the ground next to the ashes and wanted to touch and draw and not leave. He kept going back to where his uncle was. There were lots of hugs and kisses for little man today. I'm not so sure who they were for. Him or me.

ON the ride over, emotions were high and moods were very weird. After both our private meets were complete, all 13 of us went out for lunch at one of his favorite seafood places. The mood lightened a bunch and a good time was held by all. On the way back, we decided to take the ferry and saw a few dolphin which always makes us feel better for some reason.

I'm sure there are more tears left but I'm glad this part is behind us. Now we can all get back on with living instead of just the grieving part.

What a week.

Well this week has just flown by. The weather has been relatively nice and that means it has been riding weather all week long now. I'll leave the motorcycle home tomorrow but typically, I'd have spent $40-$50 in gas by now and yesterday, I spent a whole $7.35 in fuel! Isn't it great? Now typically, I'll still spend more than that on the bike. It will average between $10-$15 but gas prices went down at my normal station yesterday so I filled up a bit early.

Then all hale to the wonderful ladies here that post their beautiful photos on Wednesday's! Someone really should have thought of this a long time ago. i think it's one of the best things happening in this place right now. Okay... that perhaps is a totally selfish statement but I don't think anyone minds really. I know it's supposed to rain this weekend but we really still do need it so I'm not going to stress over it. I just hope there are no wash outs. Have a GREAT weekend coming up everyone.

Well last night went off as a total success in my book. Traffic played a role in lasts nights events as it took most all of us longer than expected to get there. Welcome to Houston traffic.

The personal stories from everyone were great. By the end of the night, I had literally laughed myself a headache. I think everyone sitting at the table became far more to a story that what may have once been reality. Seems everyone had some input to each story that made it even better and more wild than it's original form. I'm almost scared to read what some of the stories that come from tonight will be.

I won't mention all the names here as I'm not looking to get deleted or have my post butchered by the censors but I give permission for disclosure for those involved. Our first arrival was a neat guy from our military. Needless to say, he was even more punctual than we were. He also had an almost 3 hour drive so I really respect his dedication into being there. It was a pleasure to meet him for the first time. A certain someone else offered the first invitation to our military specialist. Now as fro that certain someone, he made a fashionable late statement and made it even more interesting as he drove around the building talking to us on the cell phone trying to find us!

Later on, he makes an even bigger statement when another of our favorite bloggers show up late because of work and she allows this certain person to park her Brand New Car. As he parks the car, he tried to remove the front bumper of said brand new car by running it into the curb!

Little did I know that we had VisionPersonals.com's two most infamous pranksters sitting at our table too. Apparently there are certain people within VisionPersonals.com and Microsoft that don't care for a sense of humor or practical jokes.

As for our guest of honor, she was a dream. She is all that and more that I expected of who she is. She is bright and funny and so worth getting to know at a much deeper level than this place will ever allow. I only hope that we can somehow manage to get her back to our fair town far more quickly than she is departing. Sad to say but she leaves us today to go off to the next big adventure.

Once more, I have been blessed and honored to have been graced with everyone presence last evening. I only wish we could have gotten more for a much longer period of time than just a few short hours. Until the next time folks. If you are hesitant about meeting, I can understand the fears. But if all of us are being truthful with one another, it makes it so much easier to carry online friendships and make them into real ones. Isn't that really the point of our being here in the first place? If you're on the fence, jump off and make that first step towards making that real connection. I promise you that it just might all be worth it!

Don't Cost A Dime

It's a big world to walk through honey
And if you got love, you don't need money
You're gonna get caught in the toughest times
You hold each other and you hold a life
You kiss on the mornings when the sun won't shine
And that don't cost a dime

It's a big world to walk through honey
And if you got love, you don't need money
You can't get lost in the dollar signs
You take each night one day at a time
You live on water until it turns into wine
And that don't cost a dime

I'm out of bed and step outside
Look up ahead its all blue sky
You already have what really matters most in this life

It's a big world to walk through honey
And if you got love, you don't need money
You're gonna get caught in the toughest times
You hold each other and you hold a life
For what it's worth there's my advice
And that don't cost a dime

Don't cost a dime
And that don't cost a dime
Don't cost a dime
Yeah, love don't cost a dime

------------------------------------------------
Coming home today, this song played from the wife's CD. It really got me to thinking just how good life really is. My world is far from perfect. It's full of it's daily struggles and frustrations.

Yet with all the struggles and such, we still have each other. The family is still grieving but we are here with each other. Just as importantly, our friends are with us too.
Sure there are the skeptics that say love isn't free. It always cost you something.

Can you put a price tag on a parents love for their ? If you could see the FB photo I posted of my form this weekend, it tells it all.

To see a dear friend today even for a moment in a parking lot as we passed each other by warms my heart. It's now only just a few more short hours till we get to embrace for that first time.

I am a very blessed man to have some of the best friends in the world. I have a great family too. There is no price I could put for either my family or friends. To know that even at this very moment, no matter how I feel about who I am, someone out there still loves me just the way I am.

Now THAT "Don't Cost A Dime" Can you say that? If you can't, why not?

A Quick Update

Well this weekend has been rather full. It starts off $with my blasted New Cell phone stops working. It's been on/off several times. Don't you just love new technology sometimes???

We leave for the country and it's our first time since loosing my BIL. My was doing the typical 9 year old avoidance things to try and stay distracted. Then again, perhaps this is exactly what my needed to do to cope with his loss. Each of us deal with loss in our own way. I tend to get irritable and like perfection. My wife gets emotional. My gets angry. Well getting angry gets him in trouble so avoidance perhaps is a good thing.

Thank goodness for my wife's Aunt. She has lots of toys to play with. She lets us use her 4-wheeler as if it were ours. So for the past two days, that is about all my and I have done. Today I think we rode almost 30 miles on the 4-wheeler. My hands are killing me. I should have brought gloves. As for the , seeing the expression on his face and to have him rub up against me with pleasure is something that every parent knows and adores. Knowing that fro that moment, we have won our adoration and all is perfect in the world.

The wife has sanded and stained a rocking chair and hung out with our neighbor that tagged along for the weekend too. I'm glad we are staying an extra day but I'm also ready to get home. next week will be busy. I'm so looking forward to meeting some new friends this week.

Well. it's time to put up a tent. The boy wants to sleep outdoors tonight. So it's time to get back to work one more time. I think I'm going to need a weekends rest to recover form this weekend.... Have fun all.

Well it is getting closer and closer. I'm kind of having a hard time believing it's about to happen.

Well not this is interesting.... I posted a much longer blog but this is all that got posted??? VisionPersonals.com is doing weird things again.

Anyway, What is about to happen next week is I finally get to meet up with several of our great bloggers from here. When I first started here, meeting others really wasn't a goal of mine. After being introduced to the blogs, I started to get to know a few other people. Well these friendships got a little closer until finally I've been convinced that there was an actually need to carry some of these virtual friendships and turn them into live face to face friendships. SO next week, will be that time to make it happen. I hope each of you are getting the opportunity to meet others form this quite diversified place.

Well it finally happened. My Brother In Law passed away this afternoon at 3:30pm. It is a very sad loss for many reasons. He was a very significant part of our home and especially my sons life. Thank you BIL for all the wonderful memories and spending your time taking care of us. You are gone from our presence but not our hearts.

Well last night was a good night for my . At least part of it was. Much of it was difficult but I'm proud of my regardless.

Our has been in Martial Arts now for three years. He's only 9 but loves his time there. He isn't the best and seriously lacks the self discipline to practice as he should but he love it and so do we. It has been very good for building self esteem as well as other things for my boy. Three months ago, he became what they call a Black Belt Candidate. He wears a brown belt with a black stripe on it. Last night was his first of many 1 1/2 - 2 hour long tests. Basically they drill the classes on all the moves they have been learning since they first came to class. So they start with basic beginner things and move into more masterful moves.

During this first half almost 40 minutes worth, my did terribly. He couldn't remember what he was supposed to do. It really was difficult for his mom and I to watch. With all that has been going on emotionally with his uncle dying and all, she and I both felt it too soon and would rather him wait another 3 months before taking this first test. His instructor said he should regardless and I agreed. My boy stopped twice in utter defeat and just stood there. I myself was about ready to pull him out and just give him a big hug.

Then the kicking came around. He was petrified!!! Then he went up and did his spin kick and broke two boards on the first attempt! He was on cloud nine!!! So were we. As people made a second pass, he got back in line and when it came his turn again, he was told to sit down as he had already passed his board test. AGAIN he was happy as can be. Then the hand board came. This was his very first ever attempt hand breaking. Again, you could see him in total fear. Then when his turn came up, unlike everyone else who did the baseball practice swing, out of fear, he just swung at the board and again it broke on the first hit!

So even though he did poorly on the first part of his testing, he finished strong and got his black tip for his belt. At least 5-7 more test to come over the next year or so. I hope your evening was a good as ours was.
