We are having a lot of fun. We are nudists as well as swingers and had a great time at the Memorial Day dance at Willamettans last weekend. This Friday going dancing with another swinger couple in Salem and Saturday to a house party in PDX. We are looking to meet other fun couples this summer.

Boy or boy...answering your questions really got me on a roll. ROFL. I've observed that parties with a theme seem to go the best and also help new comers best break the ice. One of our funnest parties was one where we encouraged everyone to bring favorite lingerie to model/wear. Another one was where we asked all the gals to bring their favorite toy to share. And, of course, on some holidays, a costume party can do the same effect.
Now back to my hypothesis about the two sexes having a different "approach" to selecting a play partner. I've had the fantasy that it would be fun to have a party where the partnering would be like musical chairs so to speak. An alarm clock would go off every half hour (or whatever interval was chosen) and you would change partners. The party goers would know this at the beginning of the party, and, if some did not want that "game" they'd know not to go to a given room where the others would be doing the alarm clock thing. But for those who were going to experience the succession of multiple partners they could be "lining them up" during the first hour or so of socializing before any sex starts. I would hypothesize that a lot more men would go for this game than the women. But who knows how it would shake out.
Geeeze. Maybe I should offer a "sociology" party sometime, where people would answer a short questionnaire at the beginning and end of the party. People could respond anonymously or not as they choose, But for all who did the questionnaires, I would share the results later by email. Ask yourself: wouldn't you be curious how the others answered the questions. LOL

A friend here asked me what to expect at a house party, so I devoted some thought and am pasting/posting my series of answers here in case others have been wondering the same. I will welcome hearing the thoughts of others on this subject too.(I would have put this in a forum here, but there is no topic for House Parties.)--Fred

Re: house parties. Well, there's a period of socializing...sometimes some get-acquainted games. At the Scio party, the hosts had everyone in turn tell two truths about themselves and one lie. Others had to guess the lie. If you guessed wrong you had to take a drink (Could be non-alcohol for designated drivers, etc.) Then some couples were out in the hot tub and some oral sex seemed to be going on out there in the hot tub. Then a younger and very attractive couple started fucking on a mattress that was on the floor in a living room. (Most of us were in the family room.) Then we had to leave as Marla was just dead tired after being up so early for her work. In general at the parties we've experienced guests kind of look to the hosts to get sex activity started somehow. Or, the women, the majority of whom in the lifestyle are bi, get started playing sexually with each other, and then after a time, the men get pulled into the play also. Compared to couple for couple swaps, a party can allow individuals to match up with other individuals; not just with the mate of the person their own mate seems attracted to. At our parties, we make it clear that there are house rules such as no one is expected to be obliged to get into sex play with others. Some couples that are friends of ours like to only fuck their own mate and not swap and that they are just as welcome in our home. We also make it clear that no means no and you should not ask that person again. And, if any prospective play partner requests condom use, it MUST be honored by the other person. We've only ever had one instance where a new couple was giving a bad/kind of low life feeling to me and some of our friends and just just was honest with that couple and told them that we were just not comfortable having them engage in play with the rest of us. I did not ask them to leave and they respected our wishes. I hope this answers your question. But I'm glad to speak to any specifics you are wondering about too.
