Have you gone to great lengths to slow the aging process--at least in your appearance? Or-- do a few extra wrinkles, graying hair, some added pounds around the middle, a slowing down of your energy reserves, and more trips to the dentist, not concern you too much?
I've always been a person who believes the ravages of time shown on a person's face can be very attractive. With age sometimes comes a lot of experiences that add up to wisdom. When I was a "pretty" young man, I gravitated to older people. Many of the women who lived with me were older and much wiser than I was, and I learned a lot from those great ladies in my young life.
Most people have been with at least one very pretty person in their lives..They've found for themselves that although the exterior of the person was sweet to look at, nature had planted defects in the person that weren't obvious
at first sight, but became real character defects with long term exposure to the person.
It's natural for us all to want to have an appearance as appealing to others as possible, but the few people who go to great lengths to hold on to youth, with a lot of drastic things like plastic surgery, are not grasping the advantages of growing old naturally.

I imagine if your life has been a pretty normal one, you've run across quite a number of two LEGGED snakes...
But in this post I'm REALLY asking you if you have a fear of REAL snake, snakes!
On June 17, 18, 19 20, and 21--the Eastern desert region of Southern California where I live-- is supposed to be enveloped by an unusually high pressure system driving the temperatures up to 120 plus, for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The temperature is due to go back down to "normal" toward the rest of the week, but even at "normal", the 3 O'clock afternoon temperatures will be around 110.
June 21 is the longest day of the year, and the glaring sunshine on the Mojave Desert at this time of the year is relentless. Each day, if one is outside, seems to stretch into eternity because the days are so long.
After having lived on the Mojave for 40 years, I know what to expect, and my daily routine for this time of year will probably stay about the same as usual.
Without having any doubt about it, my dogs and I will come across a number of rattlesnakes on our daily walks before the sun rises. Snakes of all kinds hunt at night in this climate. It's too hot for them to be out and around during the day. The snakes wait for the sun to set before venturing out. My little Border Collie is now 14 years old, and last summer she was bitten by a rattler (a sidewinder) while she slept outside. When I got up that morning and saw her swollen face, I knew immediately what had happened to her during the night. I've had 16 dogs live out their lives with us during my 40 years on the desert, and all of those dogs except two or three, have been bitten by horned sidewinders at least once during their lifetimes, and they've all survived the bites.
Horned Sidewinder rattle snakes are about the only poisonous snakes around our place. Their bite is normally not a death sentence, but the bite from a side winder can cause a lot of problems due to infection after the venom has been absorbed...The snake's fangs are filled with all sorts of nasty bacteria, besides only the venom.
Desert sidewinder snakes are seldom more than two feet long, and usually have bodies about as thick around as a man's wrist. They like to curl up during the day into a tight ball in desert sand-- where there's shade from a bush(looking very much like a pastry shop's large "bear claw"). These snakes also like to find buildings to get into where there's better protection from the summer sun, and where they look for mice and rats and insects to hunt.
One of my dogs came very close to dying when his breathing passages swelled up so much he had trouble breathing. He's the only I needed to take to the vet to save his life. After about a week, and after he was put on antibiotics to ward off infection, he was back to normal.
My Border Collie that I mentioned above in this post, was back to normal after about four days of getting lots of sleep with me frequently monitoring her condition. She's a strong healthy little dog, and all she needed was a cool, quiet place in the house where she could rest undisturbed. My other dog, a large, young-- very intelligent-- Chesapeake Bay Retriever, who sleeps outside with the Border Collie, wasn't bitten by the snake.
When I asked "Lou" where the snake that bit "Raggedy Ann" was, he took me to an old luggage trailer in the yard, and pointed the snake out to me. I killed the snake, which was probably an act of revenge for biting my sweet little collie...
So, then, ARE you afraid of snakes?

TIME TO KEEP A LOW PROFILE ?

I definitely think it's a time to keep a low profile.
The world has changed so completely during my lifetime, that it seems as if I'm now living on a different planet. What about you? Have you recognized the dangers looming every time you leave your home to go somewhere?--- Whether it's freaked out drivers on the highway that seem to get pissed just because you're in "their" way?---OR--
crazed street people who go berserk if you don't give them money when they ask for a handout, or when they "clean" your car's windshield with a piece of dirty newspaper and then demand money for smearing the windshield so you can barely see through it.
Even the people hired and trained to protect us, and paid from our collective tax money, seem to be crazy at strange times... Too many innocent people are beaten up or even killed when a cop in a bad mood, who's pulled over a car for no reason, or on the pretense that the car has a burned out stop light or signal light, goes "off" on the people in the car for seemingly no reason... Too many people seem to be filled with anger, over-whelming stress, and unfocused hatred.
Our Government Officials tell us we should go about our routine business as if our world has not become a place where people of a different religion want to kill us because we don't share their religious beliefs.
When M. and I go anywhere now, we're in the habit of making a mental note of "exit" doors---just in case.
We've never been into attending festivals, parades, or anywhere large crowds of people gather.
In a world where one crazed man can kill 49 people at his leisure, it's certainly underlined that our world has become much more dangerous for the unarmed. It's a tragedy that one man with a "carry" permit was not in the Orlando Dance Club to confront that scumbag killer.. It's still a mystery to me why the police waited 3 hours to take that guy out. I wonder how many people were wounded and bleeding to death during that 3 hours?

People are constantly coming and going on this site...
There is one woman I remember who used the name "cafsexnic" on the site.

The first year I was on VisionPersonals.com, I paid VisionPersonals.com's full price for 18 months as a GOLD.. That first year I didn't give thanks to this site because I figured I was paying the freight--paying my way.

Because the computer I use to write this blog on VisionPersonals.com is ten years old; runs an ancient VISTA Microsoft Program; and runs on the Internet through the "juice" coming through decrepit copper wires, my computer is intolerably slow. My place on the Mojave Desert is at the end of said copper wire's patchwork quilt, and drops off from the WEB 4 or 5 times each day, so that the computer has to be rebooted each time.
In short, even when I go on VisionPersonals.com as a GOLD, my computer is too slow and too old to be able to use the many different functions VisionPersonals.com supplies. About all I can do on this computer, is write, and post, my blog. Therefore, because I'm loathe to throw money down a desert rat hole, the use of a GOLD ticket is simply a waste of good green dollars in my case.
If I wasn't as old as I am, and learned the patience of the Bible's JOB, I would have long ago thrown out the whole mess of electronic gizmo's and settled on enjoying this remote desert hideaway without attempting to enter the 21st century.

Research has shown that proper nutrition along with genetic factors play the largest roles in the health of a man's prostate. I don't know if there are statistics listing the number of men over a certain age who still function sexually... Likewise, I don't know at what age most women stop enjoying sex. If you're a fan of THE WALKING DEAD, you've watched Rick and his group of survivors go through a lot of abandoned places looking for anything in the place that can help the group survive. Last week the dogs and I walked to THAT abandoned place. Both my dogs were busy sniffing around outside the place in an old shed where there were probably some desert rats hiding-- while I went in the house.
