Strengths and weaknesses of waiting for pages

My policy, for better or for worse, is to have the camera on and wait for people to page me, at which point I accept the pages and chat. The strengths of this policy is that it's emotionally safe for me because the other person is investing in reaching out. It is also more likely to be successful, as opposed to me paging interesting women who are almost always receiving a huge number of pages. In those cases, my page goes unanswered, perhaps unintentionally.

The weaknesses are when women who are as introverted as I am wish to be paged by me. I'm so locked into my policy that I've torqued off a few women who would like me to page them and drive the conversation for a while.

It is stupidly ironic. One of the reasons that people like to chat with me is that I'm reasonably polite (although I've made mistakes). One of the aspects of that politeness is that I'm not paging with requests, orders, or insults. But, by not reaching out to others, I'm implicitly snubbing them and, therefore, being impolite.

Happy New Year's live from one of the most phallic monuments on Earth

I would say that I celebrated New Year's with 100,000 of my closest friends, except that I have no friends. But, that's another story.

I wasn't directly under the Space Needle, but I was directly under some of the fireworks that radiated from it as part of the passing of midnight, December 31st, 2010. And I was certainly close enough that a minute bit of ash got into my right eye. (It didn't hurt, though.)

The crowd was what you'd expect. I managed to get into a place near a foot-traffic fence that the occasional passerby would open up in order to make a shortcut. It was pretty vacant until about five minutes before midnight. Right about then, a small group of people showed up with their obligatory idiot. You know the type. He was complaining about how cold it was and how stupid it was to be there and how it was all the fault and responsibility of his companions. And he explained it thoroughly using only expletives.

Okay, I'm exaggerating quite a bit. That incident and a few lungfuls of second-hand smoke were the only minor nuisances before the fireworks went off. It was a spectacle. I took several pictures and I'll stretch them out over several blog entries. (Or not, depending on time.) Unfortunately, after the first few volleys, the smoke made for poor shooting conditions. Not that my Vivitar $70 camera is really up to taking photos under these conditions. These pictures won't tell the whole story of being directly under the fireworks.

After the show, I resolved to just stand there for maybe 30 minutes until everyone else figured out where they wanted to go and made a reasonable attempt to get there. However, the crowd swept me up. I figured it would be easier going if I went along, rather than being an obstacle that 5000 people would have to go around. Of course, the flow was going in the opposite direction that I desired to go. Nonetheless, I popped out of the wrong side of Seattle Center and walked around its circumference and back to my room. I even took the stairs, rather than having to wrestle with people in the elevators.

So, here I am, it's a little past midnight. 42 minutes into 2011. Another 365 days to try our hands at peace on earth and goodwill towards all one more time. If we keep trying, we have to succeed eventually, even if it ends up being on accident.

MizMoist (on Alt) chatted with me this morning, wishing me a Happy New Year's from the other side of the International Dateline. She finished up with that suggestion (punctuation added by me.)

She also mentioned that my blog entries have thinned out. I'm fairly settled into my new temporary residence now. I did travel down to Oregon and back for Christmas. This weekend looks to be fairly quiet, though. Also, with the NFL season winding down, I can expect to have more weekday evenings available. So, I should find more time to take photos of myself and post them with some reasonable text.

Work isn't the problem

I have a lot of stress in my life right now. Oddly enough, though, work isn't part of the stress. At least, it isn't directly a part. Indirectly, it ties up the normal-business-hours part of the day, which complicates the rest of my life. So, of course, getting days off during the holidays doesn't relieve that indirect pressure.

I still have to worry about my house in Vancouver. I still have to worry about the offer I've made on a short-sale condo. At least I'm getting settled into my new temporary residence, but I still have some outstanding address changes to do. I have to worry about my stuff that's in storage. I have to worry about my weight. Because I've gotten larger, I also have to worry about my clothes. My car's battery has died, so I need to get a jump start or I won't be able to go home for Christmas. I still have some Christmas shopping to do, unless I bail to gift cards at the last minute.

Yesterday, I shelled up almost entirely. I did laundry and got some food. However, I spent the rest of the day in bed playing "Final Fantasy Tactics" on my PlayStation and chatting online. Today, I'm watching football.

On another note, I just saw an Advil commercial where a woman was complaining about sinus pressure, and some guy in a green shirt with the word "MUCUS" on it says, "Sure, blame the mucus." Now I want a green shirt that says "MUCUS".

So, my forty-five days of company-paid temporary housing ended officially today. I returned the keys yesterday because I had finished moving (about nine hours of work, alone) on Saturday. I'm in a much smaller temporary residence until I can acquire my permanent residence. Then, I get to move again. Yay?

I have to admit that this place suits me better. I like having a smaller living space. It may be easier for me to add blog entries because my camera is easier to set up. Maybe I'll get off of this one-entry-per-week trend. I do miss having a stove, however.

Meanwhile, I still have to get my mailing address sorted out. I screwed up and didn't leave my forwarding address with the company that provided the previous residence. I have to figure out how to get that to them.

Even though I had access to two bedrooms in that previous residence, I didn't have anyone visit me to use either of them for sex.

I have three regular chatters right now. Two women and one man. It's nice to have online friends. I'm going to try to enjoy it as long as it lasts. The chatters tend to come and go in waves, so a drought can hit me at any time.

It says, "I hunger for the brains of living corsages!"

Seriously, I got this when I was living in Vancouver, I brought it with me to Seattle while I was staying in the company-paid temporary residence, and now it's here in my second temporary residence.

Disadvantages of living in Seattle

Cardinals versus Seahawks? I have to watch this game just because I'm in Seattle!?

Oh, and I have to move next week. My time in this temporary housing is up, so I have to find another temporary-housing site to live in. Why, you ask? Because this place, paid for by my employer, would cost over a hundred dollars a night if I tried to stay longer. And sometime within the next two or three months, I expect to close on a condo and get the opportunity to move again.

...needless to say, I've been really stressed out....

If I am giving you a good face-fuck, I'd have a choice to make when I cum. Do I force my cock all the way in and shoot directly down your throat? Do I pull halfway out and shoot in your mouth so you can taste it? Do I pull completely out and shoot on your face? Or do I pull out and shoot on your breasts?

Well, I drove down to Oregon on Wednesday night and drove back today. In fact, I just got back here an hour ago. And, oddly enough, I'm still alive. So, anyway, I'm back on my good camera and will probably be there all evening. After all, what else do I have to do?

Working from home

The ice is scarier than the snow, but I (along with a lot of other employees at my company) have been specifically instructed to work from home today unless it is absolutely necessary to come into the office.

...It's not absolutely necessary that I come into the office today.

It was somewhat necessary to get some groceries last night. I slipped on some of the ice out there. I caught myself, but awkwardly. I torqued something in my right inner thigh, near the groin. It's mostly quiet, unless I try to move. It's not even the moving itself, but the act of moving occasionally causes some extra stress that sends a pain through that area. I'll probably feel this for a couple of weeks.

Meanwhile, I'll be on camera pretty much all day today.

Another Sunday of being on camera and watching football

It's nice to be able to relax a little, although I have some cleanup tasks I should at least start. I'm at 205 pounds at the moment, and I'm going to try to wait until I'm at 203 pounds before I eat today. Although, if I don't get there by 4:15pm, I'll have to eat anyway. It's a little harder for me to lose weight on a football Sunday now that I don't have an exercise bike. It's easier for me to chat, though, in case that becomes relevant.

A weekend of rest

This is the first weekend in something like three weeks where I've had the chance to truly rest. The past three weekends, I drove between Seattle and Vancouver. This weekend, I haven't had to drive anywhere. I did go out for a 90-minute walk yesterday, though. That helped me come down from the 210 pounds I was at this month. I'm at 205 now, and I'm planning to be more sensible with my food intake (especially the mid-day snacking) in the near future. That, plus walking 20 minutes twice a workday as part of my commute, should help me get back to a sensible weight.

For today, though, I'm going to watch a lot of football and try to consume no more than a thousand calories. I also hope I'll finally get my tripod out of my car's trunk so that pictures are easier to take.
