Today, with Summer Solstice in the North, the light begins to fade
While, in the South, the Winter Solstice marks the return of light.
As the Wheel of the Year turns on, and ever on,
Let us pause to Celebrate!!!
We give honor to You.
Bless us with Your wisdom.
Give life and abundance to each of us,
As the sun gives life and abundance to the Earth.
May we find Strength in:
The wind across the sprawling plains.
The wave over the endless sea.
The stag of seven tines, dancing through the woods.
The eagle in the aerie, flying above the rocks.
The plants blooming with sustenance and beauty.
The wild boar, racing powerful and strong.
The salmon in the water, swimming endlessly.
The hill, where poets stroll to find their Muses.
May the light from the sun above,
Bring Life and Hope to those below.
Putting Inspiration in the Minds,
Passion in the Souls,
Love in the Hearts,

Problems with Attachments in Site Mail

FROM SITE SUPPORT BLOG :
Having issues with attachments in VisionPersonals.com mail not appearing. This started happening yesterday (May/17/2016). At first a "broken icon" (see attached) would appear instead of the actual pic but at least something was there. Now....I have 3 different messages where the pics actually don't appear. The "broken icon" also does not appear. Also, the recipient either does not see the attachments, or can not open the mail at all. Happy to work with Tech Support on this, let me know!

Oh, the Myriad of Problems with A*F*F

The functionality of this site has finally gone to places unknown!
OK, so I drop from Gold membership to Standard at the end of Sept.
And what happens with A*F*F next?
They institute a policy of making standard members "pay" (either cash, or "points") to read or send emails!!!! And that applies for already existing, long running conversations, as well as new ones!!!!
Well and good, I can live with that, for the moment, I had lots of points.
Next, they put up a stupid ding dong "Notification" bar that covers the entire top of the screen, blocking out all the important links.
Then, they "apparently" stopped notifying standard members that they even had new emails!!!
Following that, as of Oct 19th, all blog posts with photos now appear to have said photos greyed out as one reads the post, but viewable by left-clicking on them, which opens a separate side window.
This is independent of the content filter function, since it occurs even when the "everything" setting is active. (I wonder if this is a precursor to a new policy where we will have to "pay" to view individual blog post photos now?)
Lastly, I went to the support blog, and left a comment on all this. After 24hrs, I could not view my own comment; it went into the nether-sphere!!!! Is this yet another new policy of A*F*F, where "site support" is provided to paying members only?
Way back in May of this year, this site got hacked. In August, the Mashley Adison site was hacked, and personal data was released. During the course of the investigation into the Mashley Adison event, it was revealed to the public, how that site's business model functioned. It operated by charging males money to view profiles and read and/or respond to emails.
The big catch here? The investigation showed the number of females on Mashley Adison were 90-95% "fake" profiles!!!! They were created by a staff of a few dozen females who were hired by MA!!! These females were paid to create 1,000's of profiles and send out even 1,000's more emails, for the express purpose of coercing males to open and respond to said emails!
With this knowledge of how Mashley Adison operated now being public, does A*F*F truly believe they can now follow suit?
Oh!!! WAIT!!!! A*F*F has gone one better than MA!!!! They will have their female members generate the flood of emails for them... via the "new" AMBASSADOR function, designed to make sure you get out those emails to greet those new victims...I mean new members!!!!!! And A*F*F won't have to pay anyone a single penny to generate this revenue source!!!!!
Better question to ask: if A*F*F starts a pay-per-view of blog posts photos policy, how do we feel about all that revenue being generated for A*F*F, from the fruits of our labors!!!
After all, it IS our intellectual creativity being used! Our pic, our idea, our posing, our lighting, our cropping, , our time. And we don't even get royalties from the money they might make from people viewing our work???
Ladies and Gentlemen, how do you feel about being used this way by A*F*F?
And Lades, in the future, don't be surprised or alarmed if the first few lines of any emails you receive will read something to the effect of: "Are you real? If so, do you have an off-site contact means?"
We'll see how long this post stays up!

I was ambling about the town recently, when I came across this mural. It's part of an on-going University art project, sponsored by the local shops. As it would happen, it made me think of a conversation I only just recently had with my and his family, while out traveling with them.
We were passing through another part of Southern California, when I recognized the name of the town. I remembered, way back when I graduated college, that it was a company, in that very town we were passing through, that had offered me the highest paying salary, of all the job offers I had received, … and by a substantial amount! But, for some reason, .... I turned it down!!! Instead, I took a job with the company that I remained at, until I retired a few years ago. I've often wondered what motivated that choice.
That remembrance, while riding in the car with my , struck me as odd, at the time. Why? Because knowing how I feel about living in California now, since I've retired, I know, for certain, had I taken that job offer so many years ago....I would never have left Ca. That, in turn, means I would never have met the woman who is my 's mother. And now, for the strange part... it means I would not even be HAVING that very conversation, then and there, with my , his family, and my grand !!!! We talked for a while about how bizarre life can be.
So, in keeping with the mural, what's my advice to my younger self?
“Always follow your heart. You won't be wrong.”

It's our "Independence Day" here in the U.S.
A day for parades.
picnics in the park in the afternoon.
BBQ's in the evening.
