Sexting and spell check

What's the funniest thing spell check had done to you?

Somebody's spell check just turned fuck into duck.

I got a case of the giggles. Still do....

"Yeah, baby! Duck me. Duck me now!"

Sex and laughter is a good combination.

Sex and rolling around giggling like crazy (and possibly laughing oneself sick) - not so much. Coitus interruptus.

I should be sleeping. Posting to let those friends still here know I'm alive and still breathing. Still caught in silence - but even more caught in a hate - hate relationship with my desktop computer. My apartment is small, and anywhere i can think to put the computer infuriates me as it's either inconvenient or in the way or both. So I've not used it and navigating this site and typing on a touch screen phone is frustrating.

I miss all of you.

Silence.

It appears i have slipped and fell into the deep end of the pool and no lifeguard on duty. I keep telling myself i need to get out of silence but once submerged it's so easy to just sink and float around.

Those of you who have messaged, texted or called to make sure I'm well and to say you missed me: thank you. I am ok. I will write more later, hopefully tomorrow, from my computer. I'm writing from my phone at the moment and it's a bit slow.

Here is a photo i took last week, early sunset on the Spokane river.

Goodnight! Zzzzzz.....

One of my long-time VisionPersonals.com friends (he's not been on the site in nearly 2 years) has suddenly and significantly changed. We used to chat daily or email... of course he is in another country so it's not as if we'd met in person. He seemed very intelligent, funny, loving, caring kind of guy.

Then suddenly, 3 or 4 months ago, he started wanting to discuss religion.

Not of the "Hey, let's have an open, respectful, logical discussion about religion" variety but of the "This is why Islam is wrong, and I can prove it because this interpretation of the bible says ...."

His Muslim sister apparently is refusing to talk to him now. And I've kinda followed suit. Not intentionally but when everything he sends feels like an attack it's hard to have a dialog. Especially when he enters into it with the "I'm right, everyone who disagrees is going to hell" mentality.

How does a person just SWITCH like that? Really I guess I should ask him what happened to turn him that way. Or maybe he was like that all along - though surely it would have manifested much earlier in our acquaintanceship.

Would you fight to stay friends or just slip away?

I'm rather laid back... I accept that others have different views. And I believe, ultimately, there is only one "Truth". The differences are all cosmetic.

Who cares if you call the creator God, or Allah, or Krishna, or if you're Buddhist and don't believe in God at all.

So far as I can tell the basics are the same (with a few exceptions). Do good. Honor family and traveler. Help those you can help. If you can't help: then at least do no harm. Care for the Earth. Be honest. Feed those who are hungry. Don't kill people. Don't steal. Do good.

I know: There's so much more than that. But inviting antagonism, fighting, distrust by browbeating another with your beliefs, and thus attacking others for their beliefs, is not the way to win them over as friends or believers.

From the Kasidah of Haji Abdu el Yezdi (aka Richard Francis Burton):

All Faith is false, all Faith is true:
Truth is the shattered mirror strown
In myriad bits; while each believes
his little bit the whole to own.

Or one of my favorites (which I read after coming to my own ideas on the topic):

There is only one religion,
though there are a hundred versions of it
-George Bernard Shaw

OK... sorry. I guess enough about religion It just really bothers me.

Myself: I'm anti "self righteous" and anti "hate". I don't care what religion you follow, even if we walk the same path and our beliefs are the same: If you are trying to force it down another persons throat I'm going to have issues with you.

And yes: I have had rousing verbal battles with people believing (mostly) exactly the same as I do. No matter how much logic and how much relevant proof I hit them with: it makes no difference. Closed minds are going to stay that way unless something inside them breaks open.

Shades of grey,
Walking, walking
The earth
shrouded in fog
The world invisible
An unseen bird

The air, cold
Shivering

Ladies Night

A local "adult" store had another ladies night tonight.

I love that they do that. Showcase new products (or in this case review standing popular favorites with a couple new ones thrown in). I suppose most stores are "help yourself" but Lover's has a totally different vibe. It's comfortable and from conversations I've had the sales people truly do purchase and try the products themselves. In my experience... you can buy whatever you want, but they will try to gear you towards what they feel is the better product regardless of price or corporate policy. IE: when I went to buy my anal toy... "I could get in trouble for telling you not to buy that, but... trust me. DON"T buy that. Get this one instead". They were right. I've since learned to defer to their expertise prior to purchasing.

Funny thing: I walked into the store tonight and immediately ran into a friend. Apparently she's wanted to go many times but never did. She was all worried "What if I run into somebody I know?" and oddly enough - she did. It's the first I've ever seen somebody I know there.

So... my new toy (5-star review and on my list for a little while):

And for those of you REALLY into the Christmas holidays... while looking for the above image I found this:

It makes me laugh. But... just no. LOL.

And a lingerie question:

Which do you think is best?

I tried doing a poll but the tiny pics looked wonky and you couldn't see any detail.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

My plans were derailed by a visit to the hospital to see my dad last night. He's ok... just (as best they can figure) he coughed so hard due to all the smoke a few weeks back he tore the inner lining of an artery and it slowed circulation down to his head enough that he came down with an ongoing migraine headache. Took 14+ hours to figure out what was wrong (started with a visit to the family doctor). He's on blood thinners and a heart patient diet for 3 months so his body can repair itself.

I've decided I'm going to start channeling Neil Patrick Harris (at least in my inner monologue):

My AWESOME took a while to kick into gear. I lounged in bed thinking too much, moping, interspersed with a bit of play time (is it only me, or can multiple orgasms count as an ab workout? The 5 small or 3 large in a row tends to tighten everything up and I feel skinnier all day). But tonight? The AWESOME kicked in...

OK: I know some people who do this every day. I'm not one of them... so it's a pretty big deal. I participated in a 5K walk/run (3.1 miles). "Glow in the Park" - started just after dusk, everybody wearing glow sticks and other things to light up the night, some costumes, lots of music. It was fun! Though if I do it next year I will drag a friend or 5 along.

Random pics from my trip to and at Poly Camp the last weekend of August.
Sorry #4 is sideways. That's how it uploaded from my phone and I don't know how to fix it here. There doesn't seem to be an option.

I loved how, on the road, the sun suddenly poured through as if blessing the road in front of me. It doesn't show up nearly as clear on iphone camera as it did in real life.

As for all the greenery... it's beautiful, and I can appreciate it for it's beauty, but... it's just not home. The trees and fresh air relaxed me, but it didn't break me open like the Coeur d'Alene National Forest does. There's nothing like driving and the scent of the air brushing over you, like a "Welcome home! Why have you stayed away so long?" to tear down all the walls built to survive life amongst people and city.

Hope everyone has a great Thursday!

I'm sure I will get flack for it, "this is a sex site, not a relationship site" (though HELLO.. sex is a form of relationship... but back on topic)... plus "Men don't read that much" true in general on this site and others as I've heard. But... in the off chance anybody does read it there is new information.

"My Ideal"

Be of compassionate heart. Do not hate. Be able and willing to discuss varied topics and ideas. Be adventurous of the "lets explore the world" variety. Know who and what you are, and what you are seeking. Be honest about it. Actually, just be honest, period. Be confident but not arrogant. Be financially stable, not afraid of hard work, and have a safety net and backup plan in case things change. I truly believe love trumps money, but I've been hurt too many times from this very issue. Know how to play, and rejoice in a loved one playing. Be kind to animals. Help those less fortunate when you can. Strive to be a positive change in the world, no matter how small. Love reading. Be warrior enough to fight for and defend those you love, and secure enough in self to share emotions and fears with those same loved ones. Trust and be Trustworthy. Be a relationship builder. Be open to giving and receiving love.

I seek a "daylight relationship". One willing and eager to be seen in the light of day, as well as dark of night. No hiding in shadows. One to rejoice in.

One that somebody else is able and willing to share in the rejoicing.

In the meantime: I much appreciate those whom I love and love me in return, whether they are long abiding friends, flirtationships, long distance cyber lovers, or whatever sort of relationship we might have. In at least this way I am poly... polyamorous. Many loves. And able to love without being hurt.

Romantic relationships

If you meet somebody, fall in love, in relationship - do you let the world know, or keep silent?

While logically i know there's no cause and effect correlation. .. it seems the more people know I'm in a relationship the faster said relationship ends. Then I'm in the position of "haha, just kidding. Boyfriend, love? Haha since when? You met him? You must have me confused with somebody else"

Well... back to working on learning to love greater, with no hopes or expectations. Romantic monogamous love derailed me from my earlier attempts. Is romantic love possible without ego getting involved?

I plan on posting pics from last weekend soon, and share some of what I've learned. It was a very good event and i hope i learned a lot. (I did get exposed to a lot of information but whether or not it sticks remains to be seen).

To vaguely quote one of the instructors, and in fitting with this post:

"I will never say I'm single. Even if every one of my lovers leaves me and I'm the only person in my life. Because being single implies that something is missing. And there isn't. I am enough."

Freaking Nervous

Summer camp as a was rather devastating.

My dad sent me to a week-long church summer camp a couple times when I was between the ages of 7 and 10.

First: I'd been indoctrinated into the Catholic belief system (Catholic school). This was, I believe, a Baptist camp. Not that it made much difference. I was also pulled out of Catholic school after 2nd grade (school politics made a lot of parents angry and remove their in protest) and was on my own religiously from that point on.

Besides being very reserved, not knowing anybody, not "fitting in" in general... the few friends I did make at camp rejected me after we went to a religious seminar type event and I was the only in the room not crying over how Jesus died on the cross for our sins. I was evil and how dare I not cry for Jesus, etc. I also got in trouble and had my toothpaste taken away for eating it. (we were hungry, it was minty...)

While I'm fairly certain THOSE aspects of summer camp will not be present at Poly Camp... I'm still a bit nervous.

Will the summer camp atmosphere bring negative flashbacks?

Will I "fit in" at all? Will people like me?

OMG!! I'm going camping with tons of people (Smokeblower looked at the class list and guesses there will be around 100 people there, maybe more.

Will I have enough "alone time" to relax?

Well.... Wish me luck! I'm also so excited.

Road Trip!!

Did any of you go to summer camp as a ? How was it? Would you go again now, as an adult, if you had a chance?

Of course games like "Strip Cards Against Humanity" would probably make it much more interesting. Now... had they been playing Strip Settlers of Canaan or Strip slap jack I might have been in. haha.

Then (any normal sunny day) and... this afternoon.

Everyone is being told to stay indoors unless they absolutely must be outside. My dad said the smoke is much worse here in Spokane than it is where he lives right by one of the fires.

Goodnight all

For those not paying attention to news in the Northwest USA: We're burning down.

This map depicts the fires that started between roughly 5pm 8/15 and 5pm 8/16.

A number of friends and family are fearfully and prayerfully watching the flames come closer to their homes. Some have already lost everything (nobody I know, yet) One friend posted somebody she knew lost everything - House, barn, almost all their animals, their gardens, their bees (25 hives)... everything. They had to grab what they crossed as they ran for their vehicles and no time to round up critters. At least that's my understanding. My friend said they had 11 Firefighters, total, fighting their fires as that was all they had available. A photo from that fire (Stickpin Fire)

My sister has ash raining down at her property and posted pics two days ago of chunks as big as her hand. The fire is 10 miles away from my sisters place so not imminent danger. I just read that their fire grew from 10,000 to 20,000 acres overnight.

Our skies were orange yesterday and it was very creepy from all the smoke and dust in the air...

Between Oregon, Washington State, North Idaho and Montana...

We're not going to have any trees or wildlife left if this doesn't stop soon.

Please pray for rain (or think rainy thoughts or whatever). Those of you in parts of the country with too much rain and flooding: Feel free to send some our way

AB: I hope you're doing okay over there I'm guessing you're highly smoked out at best.

Firefighters, paid or voluntary:
