I've always tried not to be serious in my posts. I think we have enough bloggers doing that already.

But I think another one just slipped through!

New York recently had its first Miss America-New York of Indian descent. She went on to become the first Miss America (2014 edition) of Indian descent.

This kinda caused me to wonder if it's just that New Yorkers are more sophisticated (admitted NY bias here), or is it a 21st Century American phenomenon?

After Barack Obama won his first term in office there were quite a few folks who assumed that racism was finally being given its pink slip!

Since then, we've seen a lot that speaks to us about how wrong or misguided we were.

But wouldn't it be cynical to walk around believing that things are still as bad as they were even 20 years ago?

I’ve been agonizing of late about my inability to compose new poetry, and my desire to locate a muse (of sorts).

Well, I’m still struggling with that but was able to provide myself with a few Haikus after seeing a pic on a blog from veryfunnyguy64 called Haiku for me and you.

Haiku #1:

A flash thunderstorm
Catches us all by surprise.
But it’s beautiful!

Haiku #2:

Summer now is over
Hope I did enough for fun .
Now’s the time for Fall!

Haiku #3:

Seeing her with fish
or frog, it's so hard to tell.
Truly alluring!

Classic View versus New View

Okay!

Having gone through a few months of the new 'blog home page' I think I can now say definitely that I'm going back to the old Classic view. I think the classic view is much better suited for me and my weird mind.

I find that my love of 'blog-hopping' is better suited to that format than it is to the new set-up.

Thinking about it, I don't even think it's easier to do what I do in the classic view; but I've found that with the new view I don't visit as much new blogs as I used to do,; hence my love for the classic view.

I kind of see a similarity to what I go through when I'm choosing a new book or Trade Paper-Back to read: I avoid reading the, what do you call it? ...the synopsis, the intro? You know that little blurb they have at the front or back that tells you what the protagonist faces in the book? I guess, for me, it takes away an element (when I read) of surprise?

People are probably wondering: "what the hell is he going on about?"

Anyway, it's the Classic View for me.

I just read an article [post 3231017] that had a lot to do with forgetfulness (absent-mindedness?) and it got me thinking; I know they’ve come up with research that implies(?) that sex can relieve headaches and other stuff like that.

But I’ve also noticed that a lot more research goes into the different properties and uses of marijuana. It relaxes the mind; it’s apparently a factor in the cure for Glaucoma; works wonders for people in chemotherapy, not to mention its wonders for AIDs patients.

Here are a few of the discoveries made:

It can be used in the treatment of migraines;

Slows the progression of Alzheimer’s;

Turn’s off the cancer spreading gene;

Helps calms the effects of Tourette’s;

Treat’s depression
(where was it when I needed it?);

Relieves arthritis discomfort (okay! Guess that will be my excuse for starting to ‘burn the weed’ at such an advanced age);

Eases the pain of MS.

Okay, I get it. Marijuana is good for you!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The way I see it not everybody enjoys having the ‘wacky terbacky’ inside their bodies, but almost everybody enjoys a good dick inside them.
So, how come we don’t have more studies or revelations on the benefit of sex! Surely something so good has to be sure damn good!
Despite the many facts included here, the “Tongue In Cheek” title is really saying: "this is all in fun." At the same time, just as I learn from some of you, hopefully some of you can learn something from the facts enclosed here!
Anyone noticed I haven't posted a poem in quite the longest while? Anyone noticed that I used to post poems in a previous time?
Well, something seems to have gone wrong. I have not written a new poem in some time (except for a Haiku inspired by something I saw yesterday on someone's blog) even though I get these great ideas and words sometimes.
I might even write the ideas down but when I look at them, nothing comes to mind.
In the past I could look at these ideas and for the rest of the next day or two I could compose something that I was pleased with. These days, nothing.
This is what happened to me a few years ago when I suffered a bout with depression; but I'm sure I'm not depressed now. I don't even think I can call it 'writer's block.'
So for now, I'm lost!!
I want to say 'thank heavens' football is back; but my team (the New York Giants) looks really awful, and the Cowboys looks better, and what I'm seeing from the Eagles right now, we might as well be re-building.
Gonna have to hope the Eagles, Cowboys, and Redskins knock off each other for us to have any kind of chance.
Wow! Tilted Pussies!?
I just read an article [post 3229340] from SandraD1000, which opened my eyes to a new phenomenon. I had always assumed that the issues with some girls in my past was my size.
Yea, I know. Something of a show-off. You find one everywhere you look. I’m yours.
As I’ve written before, I don’t go in for sex and pain. I’ve always gone the gentle route, and have always tried to do everything not to cause my lover pain. Matter of fact, I got cursed out good in one instance because I was being too gentle.
In those days I didn’t realize that there were girls who wanted rough sex. Plus, in those days I would have cum too fast.
I was fucking this girl, I thought, and she kept imploring me to go harder. “ Come on! Harder. What are you doing?”
So I increased my rhythm. And she’s whispering “Harder, harder, harder.”
But she’s doing it in time with our thrusting and grinding, almost like a chant; and I’m thinking: “Yea, boy. There you go.”
And she’s saying: “Fuck pussy, boy. Fuck pussy like it’s yours!”
In those days I didn’t curse; so she’s embarrassing the hell out of me. And while she’s embarrassing me she’s cursing me because now she’s cumming , and apparently I didn’t brutalize her the way she wanted.
I digress, though.
I’ve never really known about “tilted pussies” or uteruses (should that be ‘uterii?” I forget my Latin.)
The strangest pussies I’ve ever come across are the ones that, with the lady lying on her stomach, I can sit on her legs and enter her vagina from behind (the vagina being so far under or behind them) without them having to raise their butt. I have only ever had 2 of those girls and it was a really special experience.
The fact that I’ve made love to so many different women, encountering only 2 like that says to me that it’s a rare condition. It would be nice to hear from some guys who have hooked up with someone like that.
Unfortunately, I don’t get a lot of guys commenting on my page.
I wonder if there are any women out there who might know more about this condition that I do.
Is this how it really is? I’ve noticed in a lot of the GIFs that I see here and elsewhere, and even in some porn clips, that the sex is almost violent like the guy is trying to bore a hole in her back or the back of the throat.
I’ve never been one for pain in sex. It’s always been slow grinding for me, except for those moments when you know you’re right on the edge of that ‘cliff.’
In my 20s, rough sex meant premature ejaculation. Of course, in those days I had never heard the term. Since then I’ve learnt a lot, but I still prefer the gentler forms of sex.
I've always wondered:
Do men in Nudist colonies walk around with an erection, or do they only get one when they see a really attractive nudist?
Movies That Make You Think
I just finished watching this great movie called “Trance” with James McAvoy, Rosario Dawson, and Vincent Cassel, that had me thinking right to the very end.
There are only a very few movies I’ve come across that have put me in this very strange frame of mind, for lack of a better way of explaining myself. Trance is such a movie and immediately brings to mind several of these movies, especially Christopher Nolan’s Inception.
Trance was by Danny Boyle who has a few Oscar nominations among his productions, including “Slumdog Millionaire.” He was also responsible for the presentation of the London 21012 Olympics. Among his other films are:
Shallow Grave
Trainspotting
28 Days Later
Slumdog Millionaire
127 Hours
Trance
The Beach
I have to admit I haven’t seen any of his work, except for Trainspotting which had Ewan McGregor and the new James Bond, Daniel Craig.
The thing about Trance is that you don’t see where it is headed, and you’re not sure where your sympathies should lie until close to the end. Or if you do, you end up being surprised by how wrong you are, which can be a neat little trick for a Director.
In this film you are pulled back and forth until you say, “Damn!”
I guess it’s no co-incidence that 3 of the movies on the list are by Christopher Nolan:
The Prestige
The Illusionist
Memento
Inception
Now, I’ll add Trance to the mix.
Yes, I did miss something in these films (The Prestige, The Illusionist, Memento, Inception, and Trance) but when I watch them again it won’t be the reason why; it will be because of how much I loved how much they fun they were and how much they made me think!
Okay. I wrote this piece before and, per usual, I did it in Word first. Just in case.
Well, just in case happened. Unfortunately, just-in-case was me erasing it from Word by accident (I guess; since I can’t find it).
I think in Speech class they claimed that since you wrote it you should be able to quote the general ideas in a speech instead of having to read what you wrote.
They ain’t never met a brain like mine.
Once I write it it’s like my brain automatically erases it. I guess it’s a short-term memory thing. It’s on paper so you don’t need that!
Yeah. Right!
