Memo To Self...

Memo to self:

You have to cut out that binge-reading bullshit that you tend to get caught up in from time-to-time.

I don't think it makes reading as fun as it is meant to be which, therefore, transforms it into work.

Whenever you find an author that does it for you you have a tendency to read all of his books back-to-back-to-back to etc., etc...

This continues until you're done with all his writings, then you agonize for weeks over whom you're gonna read next, trying to find another series that you can dig into.

You're driving me fucking nuts!

You keep doing that and you're gonna end up reading autobiographies, non-fiction, and historical journals if you're not careful. Not a big thing really; just that reading for you is suppose to be an escape from reality. Why burden yourself with serious stuff?

In the shower I'm a literary genius and a vocal sensation, which I suppose, happens to most people; but once I get out, damn, I forget all the great thoughts and lyrics that inhabited my brain while I was taking said shower!

At least, I don't sound all that horrible outside of the shower, but I wish someone could record me in the shower so I could share my genius with the world!

April will be William Shakespeare’s 450th birthday.

April is also Poetry Month!

I think it would be a good idea to do something different for the whole month.

I wonder if I’ve got what it takes?

It will be interesting to find out;

for me, that is.

#600 - The Nature of the Beast

This could have been better (which it might be, eventually) but I figure I would take it for a test run! I mean it's my 600th post so, I figure, what could be more appropriate?

The Nature of the Beast

It never really is too smart
to grab a tiger by the tail,
and truth be told, it’s really no
safer just because it’s a female.

They usually are more dangerous
than the male of the specie,
you want to grab on and think that you
will be able to get off that easy.

Your heart says that’s the prize you want,
but it’s your brain you should be listening to,
that tigress surely will bite your hand,
its nature it will give in to.

Though you may show her all the love
it’s the true nature of the beast,
and yes, with her, your life you share
but you could be her next feast.

Now it may be cold, it may be mean
but yes, it’s also true,
you really shouldn’t take it personal
she does what she's supposed to do.

Malaysian Tiger Triplets W/Mom

In answer to the question "What could be more appropriate?" some would say: "How about sex?" And I would say: "YES!"

Sorry. Wrong context. Let me start over.

In answer to the question "What could be more appropriate?" some would say: "How about sex?" And I would say: "Hey! Poetry came about to make it easier to get a lady to dispose of her unmentionables; to make it easier for a warrior to slip his sword into the appropriate sheath, to slip into a warm comfortable bed (not necessarily his own), to make it easier for the gardener to irrigate a lady's beautiful garden!"

I can't get as much sex as I once could, but I could overdose on great poetry, so, why not a poem?

Not a lot of people appreciate poetry anymore so I have to do my part to help maintain interest. I am always able to enjoy good poetry and always appreciate when I see one written by an amateur like myself on VisionPersonals.com.

Let Me Get Serious A Little

I guess you could say this one is just for me. It's Basketball, you don't have to waste your time on this one. And it's all serious and stuff. I never stay like this for more than 5 minutes, so don't worry!

When LeBron James left Cleveland a lot of stuff was said that made it seem like he had robbed some little old lady and pushed her down.

The backlash that James suffered seems to have convinced the Cavs owner that he was somehow in the right and can, therefore, make the same mistake again.

When he had LeBron they constantly boasted about their consecutive sell-out streak, so one would believe some of that fund would have been funneled back into the team by way of bringing in good players to help LeBron.

Instead, whatever they made seem to have found it's way into the pocket of the owner, with the claim that they tried.

I'm living in Cleveland now, so I know they can't be talking about extremely high overhead, or cost of living. I lived in New York and, believe me, the only thing keeping me in Cleveland is how much bang I can get for my buck! (Maybe I'll just buy the team )

Despite being owned by a clown, the Knicks spend money on free agents (even though they can't get it right), and any sell-out they claim to get is mostly bogus.

Now the Cavs have another great young player in Kyrie Irving, plus a lot of draft picks, and they seem to be following same blueprint.
Matter of fact, they seem to have gone back to being an even bigger wreck than when they had LeBron.

But since the public were so anti-Lebron (one idiot even went so far as to burn his LeBron T-shirt; yea, that should teach LeBron!), I guess the owner is telling himself that Kyrie would be stupid to put himself through what LeBron experienced.

LeBron James was never going to win a title with the folks running this team, and Kyrie Irving closest look at a championship will be while watching the finals from the outside; unless he gets outta Dodge... er... Cleveland when his term is up!

I Think I Did Good

Some time ago I wrote a piece about my squeamishness and my refusal to go with my wife to an adult shop.

Well, earlier this week I was reading a post here and saw this equipment that one of our bloggers had bought. I kinda found it interesting and I was struggling with ideas for valentine’s.

So I was on my way to Athens, yesterday when I saw the sign “The Adult Store” hanging over the highway.

Remembering the post from earlier, I drove past my exit and headed for the store. Apparently I forgot how I felt about going inside these places because I got out of my car and walked right in without a second thought.

Of course, once I got inside that feeling changed. But it wasn’t because of my natural nature, no, this was because the operator, in trying to help me find what I was looking for was rather seedy in his approach.

Almost like we were meeting in a rest stop and he was afraid someone might spot us.

I’m not even sure if I got the right stuff; and I even thought of buying an old model vibrator but ended up leaving with what I hope was a good choice.

Anyway, my wife was shocked (which was the desired effect) and happy; don’t know if she was shocked by what she got or by the fact that I went into the store.

Either way, it’s all good!

12:30 a.m. and I’m sitting here
In my chilly, uncomfortable freezer
wondering why it is so cold.
Thinking about waking in the morn,
preparing for another work day,
ready to venture out, half asleep,
getting into my cold automobile
stepping in this cold and mushy snow…
Horrible!

Then I realize, as I write these
lines, sitting quietly in my ice-box:
You are out on those cold,
dark, lonely streets of ours,
walking all alone, bundled and
shaking, calf-deep in snow,
to this apartment I call cold,
much warmer than you feel outside,
an apartment I would call cold,
But to you? Warm, dry, heavenly...
Comfortable!

Big Clits

I've always loved big clits. When I was younger it could actually make the difference between a one-night stand and a long-term romance for me.

For me, big-clits were rare and unique; you could call them my 'holy-grail'. I always figured that they were like muscles, in that, the more they were 'worked' the more likely it was for them to increase in size.

But, considering that everyone is now being orally satisfied and over the years I have not seen an increase in the amount of big clits that I encounter, I have since assumed that that theory was just another of my bullshit assumptions!

BTW, I "borrowed" these 2 from someone's blog, so I hope it's not a problem.

The Stones

I’ve been looking at a lot of polls on the top 10 Rolling Stones songs and noticed that not one of them has a song called “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking!”

It's not even in the top 25.

I’m going to assume that a lot of those voters probably never heard the song, or maybe just didn’t get the story they told, or just didn’t like it. Great lyrics, great rhythm, and a really rollicking blues… bridge? Is that the term I’m looking for?

Clearly, I’m not a musician, but I do know great songs when I hear them.
And the Stones have so many great songs it is going to be difficult for anyone to get the list right.

But how does one justify "Bitch" over "Can't You Hear Me Knocking"?

It’s all subjective anyway, so what am I bitching about!

"Bunny Rugs" Clarke

His was the voice you heard if you’ve ever heard the reggae remake of the O’Jays hit song, “Now That We Found Love.” He had been stricken with leukimia and had just recently been receiving cancer treatment.

I’m a Classic Rock ‘junkie’, as most might know. I’m a music ‘junkie’, when you think about it (although I can’t promise you that I would listen to the type of stuff that’s called music these days.)

Most likely, if I’m not listening to Classic Rock then the music I’ll most often be listening to, otherwise, would be Reggae music; that should be “International Reggae.” I’m probably the only one I know who tries to differentiate into international or other categories. The ‘other’ category is more like : repetitive and going nowhere!

Among my favorite voices in Reggae music are names most have never heard of: David Hinds, William Clarke, Brinsley Ford, and Maxi Priest (in order below).

David Hinds was the voice you mostly heard onsongs from the group Steel Pulse. Brinsley Forde was the voice of Aswad, Maxi Priest was a solo singer. William Clarke (Bunny Rugs), Third World, was my number 1 fave voice in reggae.

R.I.P. Bunny Rugs.
