With their pronunciation, I hesitate to venture further.
The chicken in me is vary about meeting up close and personal with wildlife especially a real tiger. I think my chicken heart could easily leap over tall buildings and my bishops nose will fly faster than a speeding bullet out of harms way.
Yup.
I was in this exotic island of Phuket taking a much needed break from busy busy business.
I literally needed to have a breath of fresh air!
So I happened upon Chester's Grill chicken.
Now let me tell you.
This is heaven.
The chicken is grilled to perfection.
The skin crisp.
The meat moist yet spicy.
It is in a league of its own, beating KFC and Popeyes.
You gotta try this.
And better than the USA Chester Fried chicken.
Heck, better than any fried chicken.
And quite healthy too.
The oil in the skin is melted in the grill and in the end, there is lesser oil to consume.
But I digress.
I did enjoy getting wet and loved every moment of it.
And the massage.
And the sunset.
And the swimming,
And the shopping,
And the awesome waves,
And the James Bond Island, (well, it actually is Francisco Scaramanga's island)
And the crashing waves again,
And the feeding of fish.
And the PhadThai,
And the Thai coconut,
And the Tomyam,
And the Green Curry.

I had been busy.

Nope.
It is not Carlsberg nor Heineken.
I have promised some the the ladies that I am training hard to get ripped with 6 pack abdominal muscles. Well, I already have my 6 pack but it is so well hidden in my combined one pack.
Maybe I should have promised them "Ribbed" instead of "Ripped". Then I could just easily have gone to 7 Eleven to get a packet of Ribbed Rubbers.
Sigh.
Well, a promise is a promise.
So, what shall I do?
I don't like starving and the idea of shaking a hard tube and sucking in liquid protein sounds like a porn movie Bukkake.
Some construction engineers (claimed to be friends of mine) proposed this.
It might just do.

Unknown to many, this is the season to be joyful!
1 to 30 Jul 2013 is OPEN HUNTING SEASON for the most aromatic King of Fruits, the Durian.
And what better way than to get on a motorcycle and ride up the hills braving traffic jams to get to the backwaters of Balik Pulau. Yes, the sleepy village on the backside of the mountain ridge of Penang.
Balik Pulau is a town. It should not be confused with balik kampung which means return to your home town or village so in that sense you can string the sentence Balik kampung ke Balik Pulau, which means return home to Balik Pulau.
There is a mad rush to fill our stomachs with this creamy nectar. It is an acquired taste, mind you. In the town, there is this corner coffeeshop beside the wet market that always have a long queue and it only specializes in Penang Asam Laksa and Thai Laksa. YUMMY! And if you are not fast, everything is sold out by 2pm. Don't forget, the chendol is heavenly in this hot weather. But it is the opening of the durian fruit and being the envy of others when they catch the sweet aroma of the durian you just bought that bring smile to your face.
Yes!!
It is definitely the Oomph that hits the heart!
Some girls confess that it is better than orgasms!
Don't miss out on
The Penang Prawn Noodle,
The Penang Cha Kuey Teow,
The Penang Otah Otah,
The Penang Rojak,
The Penang Cuttlefish and KangKong,
The Penang braised Chicken Feet,

My lonely Mar 2013 vacation

In Mar, I had a business trip to this lovely island.
Someone overseas had planned to join me for a trip there but the plan was scuttled last minute without so much as a courtesy notification.
Oh well, such are some of the perils of traveling with others.
The hotels were booked, restaurant by the beach and up in the mountains were arranged. And it ended with a quiet solitude time even during Nyepi festival. ( The festival of quietness: no cars on the road, no bicycles, motorcycles, no walking outside of your room, no TV, no Internet, no air flights, no shopping, no buses, no supermarkets, no entertainment, no cooking, - nothing)
STUCK IN THE HOTELROOM ALL ALONE! NO BEACH!
Well, I did catch up on my sleep.
Next time, I gotta do more homework to avoid this Nyepi Festival. But I did visit all these lovely places before and after Nyepi. They are so beautiful, romantic, quiet. tranquil and breathtaking.
Top left: Gitgit Twin Waterfalls. - a more than 1.5km hike into the secluded waterfalls. Just when you think you have gone to the wrong direction, carry on for another 300m. Due to lack of proper signage, you need to ask around the locals. It is called Air Terjun Campuran.
Top right: Tegal Lallang Rice Terrace near Ubud
Left: Sunrise at Sanur Beach looking at Gunung Agung.
Middle: Mid waterfalls one of 4 major drop waterfalls in Gitgit. Known as the Terraced Multi level drop waterfalls.
Right: Gitgit Lower waterfalls. (Very commercialized but easiest to walk there)
Mid left: Pura Ulun Danu - a temple at Bedugul, Bali. Mid point near northern side in the mountains.
Right: Sunrise at Gunung Rinjani of Lombok Island seen from Gunung Batur volcano rim at Kintamani in Bali.
Bottom left: late morning at Sanur Beach.
Bottom right: twilight at Uluwatu Pura Luhur.
I am definitely coming back here again to explore in Oct 2013 and explore further.

I am contemplating visiting some new locations since the flights are quite cheap these days.
One of them is this.
Sabah (the sea), .... I will plan the mountains another time. (Mount Kinabalu)
But alas, it won't be nice to go there alone.
I wonder if I can find a partner in crime to join me.

This is not one of those times when we should be sharing our important moments with others.
And this does not constitute public service either.
Another place not to share your viewings are when you are in a train traveling in a darkened tunnel seated with glass window behind you.
All your X rated video is clearly visible to us standing in front of you watching the glass window reflection spying on what you are watching privately.

Tucked away in a very secluded spot is a very beautiful and refreshing waterfall even the locals are unaware of.
It took some investigation and some trial and error to search and discover this gem
This is definitely worth the extra effort.
Imagine the kind of fun one can get under this pristine natural wonder.

It's been a long time.
I crave to get my tongue on that delicious taste.
I know.
It is acquired.
Sometimes, guys don't like it because of the fishy smell.
But it is sweet aroma to me.
It is indeed unique.
It drives me up the wall thinking all night long.
The texture is silky.
Wet and moist.
In my lips, it oozes.
It melts.
It is succulent.
One has to delicately pry it open with both hands to get to the treasure.
And with a good helping of wild betel leaves... Aaahh heaven!
Penang Otak. Nothing beats this taste.
