Just a rant because I am so pissed. I am wishing to buy a house instead of paying someone else house payment. So I got pre approved. Now I begun looking for the house I will be comfortable in. The realator seemed nice but...........she stated one day that the money i am approved for will only get me houses that need improvement and it will be hard to find one. Now mind you I got a pretty healthy amount.
Secondly I was told to qualify for a 203 K loan to assist in some of the repairs I would need to boost my credit scores. So I asked how to do that and was told I need a credit card or three???? WTF so I am to get credit cards so I can purchase a house I am not quite sure I understand this logic. Was told by lender that two or three is best, and then I can boost my already good credit score but since they take the middle score I have to raise the score. I have never had a credit card ever since if I want something i pay cash or save till i can get it.
I believe if i was on state assistance or social security (for medical or something) lenders would be falling down to give me money or assistance to purchase a home. Nothing against my friend who is on SSI for medical reasons at a young age, just purchased a home and she has had little to no income for many years. Also no credit what so ever. So here is why confused I work and pay bills, and I am retired from the government for 20 plus years. So what seems to be the issue with this?
