Thirteen Weeks and Counting...
I was hit by a sobering thought this morning, while having my shower...

It's 13 weeks, minus one day, until I turn 40. Yes, that's 4-0... fourrrrr-teeeeee!!!

Now, don't get me wrong, I don't usually have qualms about having birthdays, even ones that end in zero... although it was 10 years since the last one!! For some reason, however, I'd like this one to come and go without fanfare or huge celebration.

Can I be 39 again, please? Just this once... and then I'll be 41 next year.

I promise.

 Helga every age brings good and bad things but 40 is hard because there is that realisation that you are half way through and maybe you haven't lived enough yet ... for me 40 was the beginning of a huge mid life crisis which is possibly still going on 6 years later lol. Despite the bad parts of the last 6 years it has also been immensely enjoyable.. I now like myself more, have more confidence, have discovered all sorts of things about myself and my capabilities that I didn't know. Sex in particular in my 40s has been a really exciting revelation

Don't worry about the number huni just enjoy all the good things!
