This could affect ALL of us... If you've been here long enough, you'll know about the scandal of TheCliticals, and the fact that they didn't really exist. They are the creation of another blogger, economickrisis, who was having a little fun. The trouble is, that fun has now come back to haunt him. Okay, so some of us may have personal opinions on why he shouldn't have done it, some of us are outraged at the whole affair, and some of us just smiled and added it to the long list of dramas that has hit Blogville. You need to read [post 486006] though, because there are issues there which may affect each and every blogger here... When we blog, and the blog is not something we have written, but one where we have cut & pasted, have we stopped to ask permission from the original owner of the article? Not always easy when it's a joke that was emailed to us, so I guess that falls outside of the boundaries, but rather newspaper articles, or blogs other people have written (who remembers the [blog Samantha192] scandal??). When we add pictures to our blogs, have we stopped to ask permission from the original owner of those images? I know some of you use your own images, photos you have taken yourself, pictures you have drawn yourself. But many of us don't use our own images. Personally I would never have wished economickrisis the legal mountain he is facing now, and I shall wait to read the outcome, because, believe it or not, it could affect ALL of us!!! I totally agree with you. If ive copy & pasted a joke or poem i always say who the owner/writer is. If none are apparent i dont bother. Mostly i rewrite any articles ive seen in print on topics i wish to discuss. I use a genre of writing that reflects me as a person rather than just copying. Photos...ive used some from other sites when im jesting about people etc but these are always from sites which state in their copyright that to use any material or or visual image for the purpose of monetary gain without the owners consent can lead to prosecution. Most sites say words to this affect. What Economic did was a little different. He used photos from a site exploiting images to gain finance from people thats why theyve got pissed off. Hopefully it wont go too far though & he will just receive a warning. I dont agree with what he did but i still wouldnt wish whats happened on my worst enemy. Maybe this can be a lesson to all, especially the fakes on here, to actually use your own material & photos. I had read his post earlier & was really saddened to be honest.

It is so completely untrue and so repugnant that I will not hesitate to take legal action in the most forceful way against any individual who repeats it. And I have the financial means to do so. And right now I am in a very litigous mood. ( that means I'll readily sue you, dimwit) If you have merely repeated a lie that you have read, then say so. If you have invented this lie yourself you should apologise now. I was not saying you was seeking financial gain at all. I was saying the site you took the images from was using the images for financial gain. if you had read it again you would see i was actually saying i dont agree with whats happening to you. Bloody sue me!!! What for? What did i do!!! You misread what i was saying.

One of the reasons I rarely post pics to my blog. All my pics are my own work. All my posts are my own work or attributed to the original source. Might make for dull reading but hey.....at least I know it's my work. If people like it then great if they don't then fine let them write their own blog. Just my drachma worth

How dare you!!! I was not saying you was seeking financial gain at all. I was saying the site you took the images from was using the images for financial gain. if you had read it again you would see i was actually saying i dont agree with whats happening to you. Bloody sue me!!! What for? What did i do!!! You misread what i was saying. I am sorry that I misinterpreted your sentence. The accusation that the clits blog was a scam for financial gain has been made on a few occasions by a few people during the past 2 weeks and it is one which I find very repugnant. I am glad that`you are not one of them. I am glad that we could clear that up, particularly as others may well have otherwise misunderstood the syntax also.

I didn't realise we were buying or selling on our blogs. I'm beginning to see too many petty and small minded people here. I thought the Cliticals were cute...strange but cute and fail to see the reasoning behind any of this except for spite or ego. I can't say as I've copied and pasted anything but I use pics from the web for my posts sometimes. It would be nice that as adults we would learn to play nice.

Dammit P, a bloke need to cool down. Im real sorry that I misunderstood you. I can see now how you intended the sentence to read..It has been an interesting day, and I have been in a shoot first frame of mind. I am sorry that I misinterpreted your sentence.
