The Stand wasn't bad. I think with me, it's the stuff they leave out. I read the books, and get a picture in my head. Then when the movie doesn't portray all those images, it's a let down. I know just how dangerous it can be.....a couple of years ago an Irish woman who was a member of this site met a man from the site....more than once....she grew to trust him....but she had learning difficulties....what we in Ireland call "a special child" .... she never saw the red flags....he was a Dom and she obeyed until one day it led to her death. Thankfully he was caught. Goes to prove, why women on sites like this need to always take precautions. Yikes. My stupidest choice when it comes to sex was when I was in college. A knock at my door late in the evening...there were 2 guys checking to see if my apartment was the one with the party. It wasn't. One of the guys continued on looking for the party. The other one, I invited in and we ended up having sex into the wee hours of the morning. We were fuck buddies for about a month, then it was spring break and I didn't hear from him again, which was probably a good thing. It wasn't. One of the guys continued on looking for the party. The other one, I invited in and we ended up having sex into the wee hours of the morning. This is the classic nightmare scenario - and why I will NEVER let anyone use hand-cuffs, or anything other than quick-release ties on me. (Although the chances of my doing that with anyone but a committed partner are somewhere between ZERO and Negative 10). You dodged a bullet - but sometimes that is exactly what we need to smarten up. Back in the day, when I was meeting guys who I had only gotten to know over the phone, I met a few guys who made me realize I was not quite as discriminating as I thought I was. I would have had to subject them to the Spanish Inquisition though, to find out how odd they really were. Although the guy who could never remember my name and kept calling me "Dude" was waving a pretty bright red flag. Fortunately, other than 1 time, I had my own vehicle, and a means to leave when I thought it necessary. The other time, I called a taxi to take me to the bus depot.
