Boundaries! In the last few days I have had some issues with people and their boundaries while I'm out shopping. A few days ago I went through the self scan at Walmart. I had just started putting the bags in the cart when two jackholes came up to the scanner and started scanning their stuff. I wasn't done yet! I turned to them and said, "I'm sorry that I'm wasting your time by using this scanner. Your time is so much more important than mine". Dickheads! Twice today I've had to deal with boundaries. I was in the Post Office in line to get stamps when some ingrate comes up behind me so close that I thought it might be someone I know. So I turned to see who it was and it was some guy I've never seen before. I mean really, if he was any closer he would have been in front of me. When I tried looking him in the eye he turned away because he knew he was too close. I wanted to say, "back up bitch", but not right there in the Post Office. Then I head to the grocery store. I needed a few things and then head to the self scanner. Again, some dumb bitch is trying to shove me out of the way before I even finish. The thing that really pisses me off is that there is an available scanner right next to me. What the fuck people! As she comes up behind me like that I turn and say real loud, " Jesus Christ....BOUNDARIES"! What the hell is wrong with all of you. Do you not comprehend that 'arms length' is the acceptable amount of space between you and anyone you don't know? Is what you are doing more important than anyone else? Your time is the only time that is valuable? If you don't have a lot of time, maybe you should be a grown up and plan your time and activities better. I shudder to think of the inadequate people that raised all of you. No wonder the rest of the world calls us "ugly Americans". Learn some fucking boundaries and delay of gratification. |

Maybe your just so good looking and hot that these folks needed to get up and personal with you???? Best bet is to quit showering and fixing up your hair. That will keep them away. Reminds me of when I drove a winter beater back in college. Everyone stayed far away and never parked up close and personal with me. Plus, I could run people off the road that thought they owned too.

I remember been in an airline office, in the queue with some others, when this woman came in, walked straight up to the desk, and looked behind her, to the rest of us wondering, WTF? and said... sorry I got a plane to catch ! So, what were the rest of us in there for? Chatting to the lady behind the desk because of feeling bored? Some people have never even heard of manners.

Yeah, I see it at the pharmacy too. You know where they say to stay back for privacy. I'm glad they have an app now that the folks can scan so I don't have to loudly say my name and what medicines I'm picking up. I was there once and I'm getting ready to sign for them and pay, and this guy is right behind me. Yeah, gets on my nerves too.

As a society, we seem to have lost the notion of propriety and decorum. There is no thought given to what is or is not socially acceptable, and whole new limits of social acceptability. It all begins at home with parents who are too busy watching TMZ to be parents, and at schools where discipline in the classroom is a thing of the past. There no longer seem to be consequences for behavior. When coaching kids, the mantra is what you tolerate you encourage. Whatever you are willing to put up with, you get more of. The only way to reign it in is to answer it the way you did. Make someone else wait their turn. Ask them back out of your space. Cast aspersions and dirty looks at idiots with selfie sticks at a funeral. (seen it) The point is, don't accept what isn't acceptable. Once we do that we're fucked.

the vast majority of people are reduced to meat puppets , they have no awareness of anything but themselves and do not comprehend anything deeper than i want this right now , thank the mass marketers and poison pushers in food and medical corporations , then the asshat libtards of the hippie era, no rules , if it feels good do it , drug yourself anytime you want , don't tell me what to do the parenting turned over to idiot psychobabble hippie nuts and parents no longer teach basic socilization they let the mass media do it as they see fit , the end is coming , our society as all others is on the self destructive downslide , pull out of the matrix , prepare yourself , and let the gerbils run amok !

I am not surprised that people no longer even understand what boundaries are. Most of the younger generation spend their time on computers, laptops or smartphones with little or no interaction with humans. Maybe they believe they are islands.

agree completely with you. a good share of people have NO respect for others or them selves. No manners either. Unfortunately we have to put up the "A" holes!! Have a safe & wonderful day.

agree with what you have said and a word to the wise, do not go on instant messenger camera or else the rest of the rude and nasty people will not respect your boundaries either.
