Running late…

I almost freaked out this morning when I woke up, correction. I did freak out this morning when I woke up!!!

I had slept through my alarm and was just waking up at the same time I usually leave for work. I normally leave for work around 10:30 am, I start at 11:30, however, I enjoy getting my computer set up and have a coffee and chat for a bit with others in the office. You know, kind of slow my way in to work.

I really must have been out of it because I slept through 3 phone calls and 5 text messages, along with my alarm going off for 30 minutes.

I made it to work just in time so I wasn't late. Running late threw the rest of my day off. I felt rushed…

How does running late affect your day??

Running late ruins my whole day, because the min you realize your late you start rushing then it seems like any little thing that can slow you down does. And usually if your running late it's for something important, cause I never run late for a night out with friends lol usually work .

Very true, we rarely do run late for fun things. Even though for me work is fun, it is still work. lol and every light was turning yellow... Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I like to be very punctual. And others usually rely on that. So, running late really puts me off at least for the duration of the event/appointment/etc that I am late for. Thereafter I usually "recover".

I usually do as well, sometimes it messes up my entire day other times only a part of it. I was lucky that work was only unlock my computer and start work. So in reality I could walk in to work two minutes before work and start on time. That would not have been the same if I was still working in my last position. This department is more forgiving... lol Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I use to be on a very tight schedule and had to plan even the smallest stop... I lost that when I was off work for a year. Now my schedule is for work mainly, not much else. Thanks for stopping by and commenting

Not an issue for me. I have received calls from my boss asking if I was going to make it anytime soon. I have a list of things to finish and as long as I get them done, no problem. No time clock, just deadlines.

It probably would not have been an issue for me either, had I not arrived on time. I just don't like being late.

Running late just sucks.....you stuck behind every slow driver, school bus or garbage truck on the way in.....have every light turn red....and then can't find a parking spot at the work parking lot.....LOL!

I hear you and every light did turn yellow as I approached. I only had one slow driver and he/she got off the highway at the next exit. And yes I did have to park in the back 40 of the parking lot, however, that part was no different than any other day. I always have to park in no mans land.. lol. Thanks for stopping by.
