What's Yours Is Yours
I hope you can hear this: No one can take from you what's YOURS. It doesn't matter whether it's a job, a position, a person, or an opportunity, what's YOURS is YOURS! You don't have to sink to any level to get or keep something that you desire. Just keep doing you. Keep working on your skill set. Keep sharpening your axe. Adjust what you can adjust. Fix what you can fix. Everything else, put in the hands of God. He'll either save it for you until you're ready or show you He had something better all along. 'They' didn't win... so YOU stop worrying. No one can take what's yours. Now go to sleep tonight in peace! God Is watching over you

 Just some basic thoughts:

The economy can take your job, do whatever you can to prepare for it' because if you do nothing, I promise being unprepared will be your worst nightmare.

When possible - choose you conversations with your boss. Avoid doing anything that will cause an uncomfortable conversation, but repeat anything that leaves a positive impression. Because when the head office decides it's time to trim the headcount - they will ask your boss for suggestions.

The only things that no one can take away are your education, your experiences and the accomplishments on your resume'. Unlike anything else in life, your resume' will follow you until you die, and will continue to have an influence over your future. Do whatever you can to make your resume' your best friend.
