This new change not only effects the standard member, but also the paying member. You can now only e-mail other paying member whick now limits who you can contact and talk to.

I was a gold member a year or two ago then left. I can see the clear changes and it's a bs move that speaks poorly of VisionPersonals.com's marketing skills. They reduced the IM messages from 20 to 5 per day within 1 week of my re-joining. How is that going to make me want to pay? If I was a newbie I'd be betting it isn't worth it if all they do is throw you crumbs at first and also wonder if they were planning a 'buy in per feature' approach as soon as I went gold.

We agree with most of the comments left here. It seems as a Gold Member we have just got our benefits taken away as well. I must say, I do understand this is about profit and maybe to get rid of the bot situation. But possibly there is other answers that could be discussed. The main reason we are gold is email and fully look at profiles, now at least 60% of our email communication has been killed. Had they warned us to make sure to get contacts that would have been appreciated. So as a gold member, they took something away from us, as well as they did standard members. Since profits drive everything, maybe a tear system would have been best. For example; standard would go back to the way it was, Bronze you could send email but not look at full website, Silver, gold, etc. You get the point. I do hope they read this. If they do, I think possibly this will end up hurting them. Unless this stunt is a revenue grab then drop it again, then shame on them.

you got other way to communicate . using the IM fonction and chat room also able to echange information .

if you'r willing enough , you have way as standart member to exchange information . unlike some other site .

I think it's total BS!! Some people just can't afford the fees to be a gold member. Personally, I have quite a few standard members that I talk to and as a paying member I should be able to talk to anyone I wish to. [3707536]

Very bad decision on the part of VisionPersonals.com, I'm not a gold member at the moment, but now I can't even read older e-mails that I paid for! I can e-mail other members with points that I have built up, but even if I do, I can't read the response, seriously??

Congrats to VisionPersonals.com!! They have succeeded in creating a caste system by limiting standard members IM chat invites to (5) as well as making the E-mail limited. Just a brilliant move!! In one decisive move they have significantly reduced the chances of the paying Gold Members to “Hookup”. Makes sense to limit the standards to the point there can be no meaningful communication with the Gold Members. Nice pitch to sell that lowly Standard Member a “Gold Membership”. The “Icebreaker” readable E-mail is so limited that there is not much room to get any meaningful communication going with the other party before it goes blurred. So now that your “Icebreaker” E-mails are limited, what is one to do? Two options. “Oversell yourself and come off entirely too strong or like a desperate psycho?” or “Buy Gold”. Most people tend to want to chat someone up before meeting or anything of the kind. One would think this would apply to Standard and Gold Member alike. I would think Gold Members would be infuriated at this reduction in their chances to meet a match.

Once was a time when there were three memberships, Gold, Silver and Standard. Selling point was “Get Gold” get “unlimited play”. Silver? Not so much. Little more than half the cost of Gold as I remember. Standard? You could reply to E-mail and invite to chat up to (20) times. There is no median now. Get Gold or else!!!

The chat invite is just fabulous by the way. Now limited to (5) chat invites, the good ole Standard Member gets (5) chances to invite that random VisionPersonals.com mobile app that “said recipient” forgot to log out of. Better yet “said recipient” loses signal, restarts their phone or the app crashes. Responsibility? Standard Member with (5) count them (5) chat invites tossed in the wind. I would say severely limited IM chat for standards really may inconvenience the Gold Members and restrict their chances for a suitable match. Once again the paying Gold Members should be infuriated.

If one is a current Gold Member it may appear that you are in the proverbial “catbird seat” of the site. Merely until the re-inventors of the wheel discover “Platinum” or another equivalent as the higher standard.

I have been a member on this site for some time and often thought but declined paying for membership because of many issues. Over the years the site has had many a problem from slow servers, lost pictures, deleted and negatively enhanced profiles from hacks, bots and prostitute advertising. Makes me want to just run out and pony up one of my credit cards. Has to be great identity security right? Not to mention the runaround of cancelling the Gold Membership if the person is not satisfied with the product. We have all seen different members lament over not being able to cancel the membership from time to time. To be fair some of the people that opted for the “Gold Membership” need that money for other things in their life. It should not be a hassle to get their memberships cancelled ever.

The guarantee of “more action”? How so? Can VisionPersonals.com guarantee that if I pay there will be more suitable candidates? I think not. Rather like VisionPersonals.com is reducing the “gene pool” of the site significantly. Definitely a great way to push away the Gold Members by leaving them with limited choices of whom to correspond with. Excellent marketing plan!!! Not!!!

VisionPersonals.com has fallen into the wake of a BEAN COUNTER. This individual came from another site about a year and half ago. The Instant Messenger Shamble was his first mistake.

VisionPersonals.com has lost site of the things that made it big and successful. I no longer recommended VisionPersonals.com to people. I feel VisionPersonals.com has deprived ALL OF US paying members, by stopping the interactions with nonpaying members email and other services too. I also have to say they have started to use some strange advertising too. And lastly be very careful what you pay for here and keep the receipts. They don't do as what's advertise.

Yes VisionPersonals.com has defiantly taken a turn down the MONEY GRUBBING trail. This may be my last year here, if they don't fix it.

Wow this is the #1 sign of a scam site that normally makes me head for the hills (on every other site that does this).

If free members can't even read messages that paying members have sent,
hoping they change this back soon.

I've been free, silver and gold for over 10 years on this site, until they took away silver that is. I agree that you can use the chat rooms and IMC to start a conversation still, which is nice, bu if you try to give out personal/contact info in IMC you can be banned, it's probably the same thing in the chat rooms.

Other than a little blog loophole it looks like the only legit option is to be a paying member and only contact other paying members.

I received an icebreaker email from a GOLD member today and of course can't read it. That GOLD member just paid and is unable to contact anyone who is not GOLD. Well done VisionPersonals.com - piss off the paying members as I'm certain that will increase your paying customer base and get rid of all those non-paying customers who at the end of the day are the majority of your user base and perhaps why they became GOLD members to begin with.

Hmmm, Let's think this through shall we? Fewer standard members translates to less profiles to see which leads to less GOLD members because the majority of customers took their non-paying profiles (pics, blogs, chatroom conversations) i.e. free added VisionPersonals.com content with them. As such, VisionPersonals.com gets less free value added content which in turn will lead to fewer customers overall. I wonder what genius thought this would be a good thing for the company and how they convinced the CEO it was a good idea.

I'm starting to see a window of opportunity and am thinking I'll start my own site and all those former VisionPersonals.com members will receive special considerations.

Whatever the peoples thoughts are they just fall on deaf ears--as long as they get away with cutting members priveliges and making money they will just keep taking until there is nothing left to take. Then they'll just shut down the site and start another one!

I suppose I can't blame them for wanting to make money by providing us with their services, and if everything was free to standards then they wouldn't make any. Having said that, it doesn't affect me that much as I have been here for years mainly just for blogging, but I have made some great friends, and a couple of real lovers which would never have happened if we had not been able to read emails like we used to. So it a shame, but I can't say I think they are really being in any way unfair, stupid or vindictive.

Even if you are a gold member, if you contact a standard member, they can't read your messages. I was gold and sent out messages and nobody could read it. I have a real time friend locally here who also is a member but standard. Out of curiousity we decided to compare. I sent her a message and she showed what it looks like on her end. Blurred. It stated if she wants to read it she must upgrade. So as a paying member, I was stunned. This is an old thread and it's now July 4, 2016. Obviously after reading the thread, it has gotten worse.
