Are there any of you out there who remember these sites?

Before the Internet was inundated with dating sites there were these two places based in Fairfax, VA. We were real high-tech, You needed at least a 2800 baud modem, the screen was black with neon green lettering, and a crotch shot was _/\*/\_ . But, we had profiles, messaging, a general chat room, personal chat rooms, private conversations, and actions like "Hug", "Kiss", "Rose", "Slap", and so on.

Everyone - singles, couples, straight, gay - was welcome to come out on a Friday night at a nice public bar. If you just wanted to hangout you could. If you wanted to do more with someone, well, that was up to you. If you didn't want more then there were plenty of people around to keep you safe.

The most important thing was that we talked to each other. In this day when "talking" and "texting" are used interchangeably, where life isn't real unless it's on your phone, I miss them.
