Pardon? Sorry? Huh? What?

I understand the whole looking fine part, after that I'm confused!

Does he think he's tweeting me?

Does he have TB?

Are those his initials?

"see u up 4 meeting some fun tb*...I gather from that he'd like to know if I'd like to meet him and have some fun with him. I guess I'd have to take a translator with me to understand him!

I really do despair at the lack of a basic grasp of the English language.

 I understand the idea of txt spk as a concise way of communicating but in this case it just doesn't make sense.

How is

"hi babe u looking fine just thought tweet see u up 4 meeting some fun tb"

more economical than

"Hi, you look great, I wonder if you'd like to meet sometime for some fun" ?

Though I admit neither provides a great incentive 4 meeting some fun

I don't remember the specifics, but it reminded me of an old episode of "Judge Judy" where she had to read some text messages - most of them she had to get her court sidekick to translate for her - and once explained to her, she told the person who'd sent the text "Do you realise that if you'd written this using the correct words it would have been shorter?" Haha, brilliant!

True, no incentive there, especially from a picless guy, but then picture or no picture, writing like that isn't going to get anywhere with me

I use text speak when I'm texting but only then. In emails I write "proper English" lol.

Writing like that guy makes him look stupid.

 I automatically delete drivel like that too. If you cannot make the effort to speak to me in a way I will clearly understand then I think it's likely that being lazy is part of your personality.
