Whats the difference?

Okay! I am just curious! The difference from having an affair and open marriage. Affair is an affair...I have been in an affair so I am not getting on to anyone and would do it again for the right person. But the way I see it either if she doesn't know or does its still an affair just that she "is fine with it." So what is the difference from an affair and open marriage?

 The way I see it is simple, and open marriage means that both parties agree that the other can fool around on the side with no problems, and while this is considered an affair since you engaging with someone else, the true idea of an affair is when you are engaging with someone else and the other party is not aware of it. This is just how I see it, others might have a different idea.

 Some marriage stay together after an affair but most do! I still see it as an affair even if the other partner knows about it. But I guess everyone sees it differently then others do.
