 Yes B&W photos suggest a time past, prior to colour, our imagination is left to fill in the details... low light lends itself to the same effect... what we conjure in our minds eye is so much more powerful indeed!

 Yes I do find b&w images to be more sensual.. for me I believe it plays to my imagination... skin tone, the color of whatever clothing they may be wearing, and all of the shadows that play on the image.... Its like a tease... getting a peek of the person without seeing them fully.
