Friday night alone, face picture a bad idea?
Friday night alone, face picture a bad idea? So, it's Friday night and nothing going on. Had some contacts from some promising couples, but after sending a face picture, contact stopped. Now I have never kidded myself into thinking I am one of the beautiful people, but I never thought myself ugly., and I still don't. I think the problem is twofold. First, I think that maybe I am trying too hard and expecting too much too fast, and second i think most of the people I am seeing in my area have been doing this for a while now, so aren't really seeking new contacts. If anyone is reading this, how about giving me your thoughts on this. I hope someone responds. Later folks |

While I can't speak for the couples you contacted, I can personally say that you are a good looking man. Lord knows, I am not a Barbie girl, but I also find that as we mature, we finally learn to look on the inside of a person more than the outside. Lucky for me... lol perhaps the couples you are contacting have not progressed that far in their thinking yet. Don't give up. Read their profiles carefully and if there is any hint of shallowness, then pass. Or if you truly feel that the face pic is what is stopping progress than chat more with them before sending the pic. While the outside/physical attraction must be there, it's not everything. Good luck and hang in there... Jen

Thanks Jen. I think you might have hit the nail on the head. I have noticed that mainly of the couples I see online say things in their profile that sound shallow. Not all of them mind you, but enough so that I noticed it. Again, thank you for your kind words, you are right, it's the person behind the face that really makes folks attractive.
