Pon Farr is a blood lust phenomenon in the fictional TV show Star Trek. The nuts and bolts of it: Vulcan males and females reach a level of lust and passion that is unmatched by any other species in the universe. The phenomenon occurs only once every seven years. I guess my sex-life is generally a bit Pon Farr - it is very feast and famine. I suppose I would take the Pon Farr, but I would have to have the lifespan of a Vulcan (200 years) in order for the question to be valid. If there was no vulcan life-span and a relative sex-to-no-sex ratio assuming an 80 year human life-span ... 200  = 80:2.8 or so? So a human Pon Farr would be great sex every 2.8 years? That sounds kinda doable.
