When it's hot, I'm sockless, cool weather moves me to crew socks and cold weather puts knee socks on my feet. I never wear them to bed, though. Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

I must admit that I foind ankle socks singularly unsexy on a man... They just look wrong to me. I wear socks almost every day and they are a thick wool/synthetic blend that if I pull them up as far as they will go, go up to the knees but I always tuck them down until they come up to just above the ankle for a chunky cuffed look that is very cute with leggings. They have a towelling texture on the inside of them that draws away excess moisture and still keep my feet from drying out. They're men's socks... HOLEPROOF EXPLORER and I've sworn by them for over 30 years. . I learned to enjoy them after so many years of wearing the boots. The freedom to me anyways is refreshing. Of course when it is a less than casual occasion I go more traditional.
