Division

There comes a time
we all unwind
and try to think things through
this happened to me too

The division of home
is much like a comb
parting hair,
you do it with care

But nothing is real
and it's no big deal
but the clock on the wall
that tells time to all

Time that has passed
time supposed to last
but instead cut short
a complete abort

Of family ties
because of the lies
that cost so much
including touch

Having grown weary
and quite teary
it's time to smile
and dance a while

So close to freedom
no more am I glum
a tremendous change
an expansion of range

With the mere stroke of the pen
it all begins....

 Hmmm sounds very similar to what I am about to do...
