Gettin' all poetic up in here
Once I knew an angel
Her hair was red as fire
Just staring in her eyes
Could take me ever higher

She was so beautiful
Her skin so softly pale
I thought I fell in love with her
That's why I tell this tale

Whenever I was with her
I could never reach my summit
Then the demons came
And my heart began to plummet

Harder and harder I tried to reach her
but she only grew further away
not too long had passed
before the demons had their way

Now I lay on the bottom floor
A mere shadow of a man
I look at the blackened sky
Try to reach it with my hand

Amidst my tearful cries
A light that does inspire
Once I knew an angel
Her hair was red as fire...

 Sorry, I've had a really bad month and instead of complaining, I thought I'd try spinning my artistic gears again. I hope I'm not being too much of a downer, but for the time being I just need some sort of outlet.
