On The Outside Looking In

I love life’s fluid flow,
it’s a pleasure watching it unfold.
The silly, crazy things that people do
and the fun stuff that comes along.
Nothing more fun than sitting
quietly on a sunny day
and letting life gently wash around me
pretending I’m not even there.
It’s fun when no one notices you,
you’re like a fly perched on a wall
sitting there absorbing all that you see:
the girl carelessly scratching at a permanent
mound, thinking no one has noticed.

Of course, it could have been a sub-conscious
reaction, just caught up in the moment.
Would she be embarrassed
If she knew that I saw? Does she
Even realize
What just occurred?
Or that guy staring so intently
At that girl’s butt
As her skirt hikes up
Just as she bends over?
He reminds me of myself in some of my
More perverse moments.

What went through his mind?
Did she cause a reaction? Did he get an erection?
What would they both think
if they were on the outside looking in?
