Head Hunters

I think I’ve mentioned before my love for Foreign films, especially Spanish and French productions.

Every now and then I watch something from Pedro Almodovar, and one thing I’ve always realized is that when the newspaper movie critics start raving about how great some movie is, it’s usually from an intellectual standpoint. The movie might be as boring as hell, but the acting made you want to weep because of how beautiful it was, hence, great movie.

That’s not what I’m looking for. I watch movies, read comics, novels, watch sports as pure escapism. For reality I read the newspaper or just live life.

Because of that, when I decide to watch one of those movies I’ve to make sure I see it before I read the critics opinion because, guaranteed, if I see their critique first and then watch the movie after, damn, you know I’m going to hate it.

It’s one of my flaws in life can’t explain it, don’t really care; but, that’s me!

At least, when I watch the Foreign Films, I get to enjoy it and in most instances, it’s not something that the critics graced with their blessing or non-blessing.

Of course, I forgot to mention the music, usually guitar-centric, romantic, and even soothing to the ear. Most time after watching one of the movies I find that I want a copy of the soundtrack because it's something i haven't heard before and it's a type of music I don't hear often enough.

Just finished watching something called “Head Hunters” and it was a blast.

Don’t know the director, don’t know the star; did know the supporting actor (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau from Game of Thrones) and, man, it was a blast!

At first I figured I’d just watch until it got boring then move on to something else. Oh boy! Instead of getting slower it got more interesting. If you love ‘cat & mouse thrillers then this is it. Strangely enough, minimum violence, lots of thrills!

I'm telling you! For an exciting watch, try this Danish production: "Head Hunters."

Watching movies is what I do. I get them free from the Library.
I put this on my list. If they have it, I'll give it a try.

It's one of the things that I do, also. I have such a sedate life that I actually use my day off to go library hopping trying to find some gems in DVDs.
