Not any more. I had a pen pal from Mexico and one of my so called friends got her address. Sent her a letter and asked for nude photos. Using my name.  This is not meant to offend any one in any way.

Had one years ago... Someone I'm still very close to and always had a 'kindred' spirit relationship and feelings for each other that we still have today although our paths have gone in different directions due to life's circumstances... Have always admired and appreciated those who can express themselves so completely through their writing that you feel a common bond and agreement to their thoughts and desires on many levels... I find it interesting that there are those of us from different parts of the continent if not the world will take the time to correspond with each other. Just another casualty of the headlong rush towards instant gratification. And if it weren't for amazon and e-bay we may not even have a postal service to deliver the mail anyway. I lived with snail mail for probably around the first 40 years of my life although I can't say I really had a pen pal. The folks I communicated were family and old friends as a result of my gypsy life. But these days the cost and accessibility of telephone communications has improved so dramatically that I don't understand why the younger generations are so hooked on all this phone messaging stuff. My penmanship is not the best, and my spelling is horrific, as a result i did not engage in pen pal writing, i have always enjoyed creative writing but it doesn't seem that I have time to create, because of the personal computer, I have wrote more in the last few years cause it is readable even if it's not spelled correctly, I really enjoy writing erotica, I simply need to make more time to do so, I have had a few people on this site that wanted to exchange e mails like a pen pal but they faded away and wouldn't send a return e mail after a few exchanges, I get more return comments on the blogs here but its not as personal and i'll take what I can get, I really enjoy communicating with people and i'm always open for a little more personal communicate with someone who would like to build a friendship through words.

Love letters were such a terrific tool for seduction I've written them to women --- wives especially --- that I already had won over. I think it is in part because you took the time to actually do it and expressed in words what you feel. You don't have to be a great writer to do it, and with spell check you can avoid everything but typos. Not being able to write or express yourself well doesn't mean you can't do just as well, but being able to is one more useful tool in getting under her skin as well as her panties. I loved writing letters, Hon! But, alas, my zeal for writing was often times ignored or went by the wayside, getting slower n slower replies from friends back home, or some relatives. I think that soon, real mail will disappear, replaced by emails, texts, or tweeterbird. Everyone (businesses) want you to go "paperless", everyone's lives so busy.......not taking the time to write a worthy letter! Sorry I didn't read anyone elses response. I agree though! I prefer to text over actually talking on the phone... Besides the convo lasts a lot longer which in turn causes the anticipation and excitement to build.... To me or my opinion anyway, is that the teasing ang flirting and playing (foreplay) is just as much ,if not more fun than the act itself!!! Now don't take that wrong, I still want and LOVE the sex as well. I do have to acknowledge that technology as taken some of the soul out of writing. We see so many words expressing thoughts and opinions in a single day. We get instant gratification from lovers via texting, IM, and email that the words are sometimes taken for granted. I guess now days you could say a hand written letter is erotic in itself...
