If they had their way they would probably make it a crime to destroy their built in obsolescence. There will never be anymore of the Win XP days of buying a computer and using it for like 10 years. The software is changing too fast these days. WindowsXP came out in 2000 or 2001, Vista came out like 7 or 8 years later. Then Win7 came out like 3 years later, then Win8 another 3 years after that and 9, er, 10 is coming out next year, so that's 2 years. Firefox even has entirely new versions every 6 months now.
