General Rants My apologies for not posting for a while, or for the following rant.. I've been on this site 5 years, and that frightens me. I originally came on this site because I hated what I allowed myself to become in life. The collateral damage was the end of my marriage and everything that it has done to my self, my ex, my and our families. My ex and I originally agreed to divorce amicably, we went through mediation and formed the basic framework for the divorce. However a few weeks ago I receive a summons from one of the more notorious divorce lawyers in Nassau. Among the thunderbolts: 1-He is suing for sole custody due to my lack of fitness as a mother, citing my deviant lifestyle. 2-He is suing not only for full support but maintenance as well. 3-He's claiming that the house and property was not gifted to him by his parents, but leased, therefore I would have no martial stake in the property. If the asshole wants to throw money away at lawyers for this bullshit, I'm game. 1) While he was aware of my extra-marital affairs, and implicitly condoned them, there was no written agreement. Also, I have never placed my in danger, nor left them unsupervised. 2) He owns a large construction consulting business, which he has magically disappeared from all ownership documents. My lawyer has already hired a forensic accountant to dig into the business. 3) I have a title with my name on it, again more bullshit On top of everything my friend is getting disturbingly more intimate. I've always told him, and he's been fine with being good friend who fuck (a lot). He's begun having concerns about some of my other dalliances, and asking the dreaded "future" question. I would hate to break up with him, because he has always been the friend and fuck I need. But when a girl's alone............     |

Ha. Does your friend know about your impressive toy collection? He better not push his luck. Sorry about your situation, I agree, your ex sounds like a major asshole. Proving that he's hiding his shyte is probably your best line of defense. Standards are people too.....kinda

Sounds like he was sandbagging you. I can tell how honest he is as soon as his biz drys up. Hope it all works out for the best.
