Counseling About a month ago, sorting through the piles of email bullshit here when I came across an email by someone who looked familiar. After a double take, I realized it was one of my friend's hubby. Now she has no idea about my situation (she know's I'm finalizing my divorce, but that's it). I struggled with how exactly to tell her about this, when I did, showing her the dozen or so emails I received, she was devastated. It took an overnight trip out east to the wineries to stop the crying so we could talk. Over the next few weeks, we began the process of getting he on with her life, putting her in touch with a lawyer, getting her a therapist. I told her there are a few parties in the area where you can go as an observer, that no one will approach you unless you are willing. This last Friday I took her, knowing my friend will be there as well. I made sure the host knew she was an observer, while I went along with my merry ways.
