Yes, I would love to know where you end up so I can still follow your writing. I haven't been on here since July (so I was told by a just relocated gentleman on here) so I'm not really losing any sleep with this place. I really only log in to check on a few blogs that I follow. If you're out I need a forwarding address! Great looking cakes, btw. I need to work towards baking like that. I'm still trying to get up the motivation to dive into cooking/baking with chocolate. I consider similar, for mostly opposite reasons. I used to blog religiously, and it got to where more than a few of the replies were either openly hostile, or just passive-aggressive. I just got tired of writing things to get shit on, so I left. I sometimes (about once a month) return, and I sometimes even open the blog for comments. As a fairly average guy here, I don't get a lot of contact from the opposite sex. Probably more than some male bloggers, probably a lot more than the low-IQ sex maniacs that complain about blogs as it's "a sex site". With the Face Book being as popular as it is, and the ability to control the intended audience, I find that a better interface for a lot of my commentaries.

I know I'm being completely selfish but here - but OHMYGAWD - this must mean no future ChicagoBash !  On the other hand, I completely understand your frustration. That is 1 of the advantages of living in the boonies where I do - I NEVER have the chance to even get into those situations. So - to make you feel better, here's someone who is envious of the fact that people like you are at least making connections here - even if they turn out to be bad ones. Did that help? Damnitall, anyway - I just got used to you being back here, too. Fabulous cakes...but I'd expect nothing less from such a sweet and tasteful woman such as you. Its a shame I live so far away because we both like cake and sex...lol. I hope you don't leave because you are indeed my favorite blogger and I am not 30 ish...lol.

I understand your pain. Even for me, Old Faithful, who I think may have the longest running blog here (I started blogging here in 2004), it is just too much anymore. I'm not sure if it means I'm getting old or what. My blogging is more sporadic than it ever has been and I don't really care that much. But if you have something mid-May, I am TOTALLY going to be there!!  2022... it HAS be better, right?!

Happiness is somewhere. Never give up on seeking yours, you never know when someone will just look at your eyes and know, you will look at theirs and you will know. If'n I wasn't old, married, and broke down, I would propose marriage just for those cakes. Have a great life, and remember that while dessert isn't always happiness - it sure helps with enjoying life.

Can I be greedy and have a piece of each cake? It saddens me when I hear of yet another unique blogger I've been watching for some time decide they have had enough. Many leave mainly because of the reasons you give.

I've had thoughts of doing the same, but copying and then deleting over 1000 posts is a daunting prospect. So my inertia continues... But I would definitely be up for a get-together next May.

The cakes look delish, and I'm sure taste as good as they look! I'm sorry to see that you are leaving but I completely understand.
