I don't need to rehash what happened in Boston today, and I'm not going to spout political rhetoric about it.

What I WILL offer is this: If you have a rare blood type (especially if you are of foreign descent), PLEASE donate at the nearest blood bank. Events like the Boston Marathon bring visitors from all over the world- many of whom carry rare blood types and may need your precious .

Lastly: Don't jump to conclusions about the perpretator(s) until things have been confirmed. Cowardice, hate and bullying come in ALL COLORS and from ALL WALKS OF LIFE.

Of course, because of my "background," I'm not allowed to donate blood. Or tissue, or marrow. Guess it's a good thing that I'm the most common type out there.

 Sad to say that this is not totally unbelievable in the crazy world today. People (nurses, MD's and so many others) work so hard every day to help people and do no harm, and then there are those f'ers who just want to hurt people... Unfathomable. The hate they must hold in their hearts must just be awful.

 This is a very important message.

One of my co-workers has a rare blood type. She had an emergency issue arise when she was living in a much larger centre, where (fortunately) they had her blood type on hand.

If she has a similar, unexpected issue arise; she could easily die from the want of a transfusion that would be compatible.

 I refuse to expend brain cells on whomever did this. Today I'm just giving thanks for all of the incredible first responders and civilians who jumped in to help the injured.

No other group merits my attention.
