Gearing Up... Spring Break, Baby! You might recall that last year, we cancelled a trip to California when the Hornet broke her leg and required my assistance for a few weeks. Well, we're trying in again in a few days and my fingers have never been crossed harder! My are finally at an age where traveling with them is FUN. No diapers and bottles and strollers and car seats to lug around. They can even tote their own luggage, lol! The weather won't be too terribly warm, mid-60's and sunny, but it beats the 14 degree bullshit I've been dealing with for the last month. I cooked all day yesterday to provide the Horner short ribs, beef stew, soups and sides to keep her eating well while we're gone- she didn't even say 'thanks', but I'm used to that, lol. Speaking of the Hornet- part of the reason I've been off the grid is because she's decided to try some homeopathic treatments to try and stave off the growth of her cancer. I have to drive her to Illinois twice a week (1.5 hours each way plus treatment time), so needless to say I haven't had much time to blog. They don't seem to be working at all, but quitting is her decision. I'll do what I need to for as long as it takes. I've also been working on the upcoming Blogger Bash. Seems the ladies who were going to host our burlesque dance class have flaked on me, but no worries! I think a lingerie photo shoot and afternoon traipsing around town would be just as fun  . I have to say that I find it very interesting that we always have more women in attendance at Blogger Bashes. For all the complaining that the men do about flakes and catfishes, you'd think they'd be first in line to spend a weekend with beautiful, intelligent, REAL women. But only the bravest take the plunge, lol. Anyhoo...That's about all that's going on in my life. I'm getting waxed today (ouch!), so I need to pop a vicodin and take a nice hot shower .So tell me...have I missed anything good lately? When it comes to sex, I need a STRONG connection. Otherwise, the page just keeps buffering and takes FOREVER to load... |

Hiya G, didja miss me? I have missed you and am looking forward to going back and catching up this page. Mother in laws who have cancer who require driving around for 3 hours twice a week, every week - big hugs. Waxing...now that's just masochistic  .

I always have more dudes at my blogger bashes. LOL WTF? We need to maybe merge... somewhere around Detroit? I am veeeeeerrrrryyy sad about the burlesque. I was looking forward to that and have become quite addicted to it I believe. I shall perhaps bring my tassels nonetheless. LOL I am a celebration of willful chaos and a hugger.

I am puzzled at the slim male attendance at the blogger bashes as well. Maybe they are afraid they won't translate well in person? (or that WE, the women, won't translate well in person - lol). I think it's a wonderful excuse to spend a long weekend in a locale that I love to visit. And, lingerie shoot, YEAH. Time to go shopping at Hips and Curves  Don't compromise yourself! You are all you've got!

I know a great cure for the hornets cancer. Add a bit or arsenic to all the food and soup you have made her and I believe the cancer will be something of the past by the time you return from vacation! Good point GR. This would be a fantastic opportunity for the men to meet women since all they seem to complain about is that no one meets anymore. I really, really wish someone would give me an intelligent explanation as to what "fake" means here....other than "well, they wont meet or answer instant messages." That is all. Thank you

Hey now GR don't knock all of us men that can't make it. I would so be there if I could afford it. I think I mentioned it in the last post of yours I commented on. But I actually had a date recently. That's new, though you didn't exactly miss it since you got back just in time for it.

i am currently reconsidering which bash i might attend. i was thinking i would do chicago and now i am considering seattle possibly as well. you remain a saint for everything that you do to for the hornet.

Its not about being brave unfortunately...its about having the time. I took three months off this winter and now I'm about to pay for it...lol. But I will be there in spitit if nothing else and I would have so loved the lingerie photo shoot...sigh. I miss you already and we've never met...hmmm?

I know all about being a taxi driver with no meter in the vehicle. Some of my trips have been 2-2 1/2 hrs. each way. Have a blast at the Bash! Maybe someday!!

I'll have to admit that going to a Blogger Bash surrounded by beautiful, intelligent, REAL women can be quite intimidating. The quality of the women are not so much the issue, as is being surrounded by a multitude of them! Have a good wax my sweet!  Thoughts from the Garden...
