 The biggest tip is go slow and enjoy the experience. Use lots of lube. It's much easier if you back into him at your pace, not his. He is naturally going to want to push hard against the opening to slide in which can cause pain if you are not ready, with you pushing back you can control how much you can handle without pain, as you relax it will slide in past the opening, once there it gets a lot easier. Continue at your pace until you have him all the way in and stay there until you are relaxed. He can then slowly start sliding in and out.
