Why would someone hotlist you or wink at you or make some form of contact in which you cannot communicate when the Instant Messenger is available to everyone? Does this make sense to anybody?

 Can't you return a hotlisting and wink with another wink? Of course there is little communication in that.

I have come to believe that the majority of people on this planet are just not capable of putting together a full coherent sentence. I just read a dozen emails and except for the ones from guys I have written back and forth with in the past, the strangers all were one to four short sentences with major errors in them.

These are men out to impress, and they just can't get it right. It is very frustrating to see. So, to answer your question, I think that instant messenger scares or intimidates many of those people.

They'll cam, there is no verbal skill necessary with that.

I also prefer to use YIM when it's mutually agreed to and userids are shared.
