To summarize our story thus far... Hey, I'll bet most of y'all are scratching yer heads right about now thinking that this woman is just posting random songs- but no, oh no... each song has pieces of the puzzle. For those of you who actually know me as friends, I know I have you confused as you may think you know the origins of a choice... but I'd bet you are incorrect. As they say.. It's me, it's not you... and it's not always me... The Cliff Notes Imagine Imagine a better life.. a better place... less stress.. yeah.. I want that.. I still believe in that... you'd catch me singing this in the car...if you are lucky... Say what you mean Yanno... I found this one by accident that day I posted... I read the words... heard the music... great song... it's about living completely without being afraid... good stuff. The Stranger I'd like to say this is self explanatory.. but I know it is not. My Ex-hus used to whistle this song to me when I first met him { he sang to me too... which was damn nice } . We were best friends, lovers and yaddayadda. Over years life changes and I met the Stranger... he isn't always evil.. he is not always wrong it was just time to part ways.... isn't it Ironic? Dontcha think? A little toooo Ironic... yeah I really do think..... Take it Easy Seven {wo}men on my mind... ok, maybe not seven... but at times I get to chat with many who think I am perfect for them ! But in reality... it takes a whole lot more than surface stuff to create that bond. So, I'm running down the road... do you think you can catch me... Bright Side of Life Love, love love Monty Python. A local radio DJ ends his radio shift each day with this ditty. Don't take things so seriously- life is absolutely hilarious- I know it makes me shake my head and laugh often.... Express Himself I got to see Madonna way back on Her Blonde Ambition Tour { yanno the pointy bra phase} and no matter what you think about her, she is a formidable business woman. I can't be bought,nor my affections swayed.. if anything I can see right thru that ruse... I don't like diamonds... too common... and I don't wear gold... I'm not impressed by your shiny fast car... I'm impressed by character... by deeds not words... you don't get my respect without it... Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes Ok, this song goes waaaay back. In fact, I have a dusty old print out pinned up on my wall behind my comp tower. It's there to remind me that state of mind can be changed...to remember to keep dreaming... to recall all the places I've traveled to...the friends who mean something to me... To stop spinning in circles and sit back... ever want to just go to an airport with a small bag of clothes...just pick a place... and just go... wing it?... I do.... If I Had $1000000 If I won the lottery...I would end up buying/paying off things for the ones I love... spend it all if I had to... I love my job... and would work for free setting up a charity... I would drop money on the streets for strangers to find. Wouldn't you be thrilled to find $20 on the street?... on days now when I have nothing in my pockets... I know I would be.... Behind Blue Eyes Someone I loved had the bluest eyes you ever imagine.. beautiful face.. devilish smile...and the most tortured soul. I loved him with all my heart and had to let him go. He says he's doing better- you'd like to think he can find forgiveness and healing... at least I do... So, for those of you who thought.. oh hell.. she is just posting song lyrics... no... I always choose my words carefully, whether or not they are mine { yeah, the profile is my own words} or the musings of someone else... |

Yanno, Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes is probably my favorite Jimmy Buffett song, probably because of the end of the last verse. The day I finally actually believed what he was saying there really changed me and made me a much happier person with a much better outlook on life. Unfortunately it it wasn;t all that long ago, but like another great line from Monty Python, "I'm not dead yet" so it's time to make the most of it.

Brand, I admit, I don't know most of these songs, but I figured there was a reason behind you posting them, and I clearly see what it is. This is pretty interesting  .Will Friedle, as Eric Matthews on Boy Meets World: "Life's rough, wear a helmet".
