Unrelated Vent
Unrelated Vent I was on a cruise a few weeks ago and I gave my cell number at one point. At the time, it caught me off guard, but I figured it was good they have the number in case something went wrong on the day of embarkation, or it something happened to my while she was away from me. Anyway, I am now getting sales calls from them, and I mean several every day. Well, today the voice mail that was left said something different than the others I have been left. Now, I realize that I have very limited practical IT knowledge, so my being surprised by what he said really shouldn't surprise me. He said that he was calling because they had seen that the vacation I was trying to plan hadn't been able to be finalized. So, I realize that they are following my internet usage of their site. Okay, that is a given, even to a IT no brain like me. However, they have linked my internet account with them to the information I gave to the check in person on embarkation day. This does surprise me. And, I don't know if I like it. All I want is memories like this Not pestering phone calls. Even if it is better for them to strike while the iron is hot. Thanks for the information. I will try not to go down the same path. Cum to my blog and respond. Have a great kissing fun time.

As an established customer, they are not limited by general "do not call" limits that you may have placed on other telemarketers. However, most marketing operations will allow you to exert some control over how frequently they contact you, and your preferred means of being contacted. You should be able to change cell phone contact to mail, and several times per day to once a week or once a month. When you booked the cruise, you may have set up an account. Any activity on that account would be associated with you. If you go back to the web site, you may still be logged on so that they would know about additional activity. However, they would not know about your activity on other sites. It should be possible to logoff the site, or to delete the account now that the cruise is over. However, deleting the account may result in loss of frequent customer benefits that are often given to people who take several cruises with the same cruise line.
