You got more than we did. "Just" 9 inches here. Not so much a big storm for us. If your power is still on then all is good! My friends in Boston and north of there got it a lot worse.

Only 5 more weeks until Spring!

We were surprised that with the wind as strong as it was, for as long as it was, we didn't lose power. Usually there are many small dips in power during a storm. As they can be dangerous to appliances, etc...my husband has several times flipped circuit breakers and put us into a "self black out". Not this time though, we didn't have a single dip.

We did lose satellite TV for a while. There was probably snow sitting on the dish itself blocking the transponder.

    Quoting  :

HJ is actually a small hamlet in the Town of East Fishkill. Most of us that claim HJ as home, do so beacause we share the postal zip for the village. East Fishkill covers a sprawling 60 sq miles, or so. Some of it lies in valley, and some lies atop mountain. It is usual for the town to have a wide range of weather conditions. I84 seems to often be a cut off zone, with conditions south far different than to the north.

I use the height of snow on my deck table. It doesn't seem to drift on top of that. My yard is a different story.

My cousin lives in Madison. I read they had 33 inches. I've been picturing her long driveway that goes from road, along the north side of house and winds around the back of the house toward a garage. On one side of the driveway are thick tall shrubs, and on the other is a low stacked stone retaining wall. I can't imagine how they can even snowblow the snow off it.
