Men who aren't men Just last night, I was supposed to meet with someone from our local chat room. Before meeting this fella, I had told him I probably wasn't his type. He said, "let me be the judge of that". So I sent him a pic. "You look nice," he said. I was having a great time with my friends, trying not to watch the door too much, waiting for him to come in. Someone, who I thought may have been him, walked in, and strolled right by our table. No problem, I thought. That wasn't him. Apparently I was wrong. I found out later he was there and didn't come over to say hello. I was right, I wasn't his type. Now I wonder to myself, how hard would it have been for him to come over and say, "hello Ginger, how are you?" I'm a good person I don't deserve to be treated this way. I wasn't looking for a husband! I was looking for a friend. Is there a law written somewhere you can't sit and talk to less attractive women? I see attractive women talking to less attactive men all the time. No big deal. That shallow attitude will get you no where. None of us are perfect and this man, and I use the term loosely, may have missed out on meeting a good friend. And you can never have too many friends. Hay Ginger; Since you have read my profile and we have chatted already, We both know that there are loads of "Shallow Hal" people around. I was fortunate to have been partly raised by 3 older female cousins and they were the ones that taught me to know that each and every woman was either a diamond or a diamond in the rough. There is an old saying: If a man calls you a jackass, ignore him. If ten men call you a jackass, buy a saddle. In other words, so many people can't be wrong. I've never met you, or any of your friends, but if so many people are offering you so much enthusiastic support, you must be all they say. His actions were cowardly and hurtful. If he had just chickened out, he could have had the courtesy to contact you afterwards, explain, and apologize. He was obviously just selfish and shallow. As unpleasant as the experience was, however, look at the bright side: he did you a favour. Would you really have wanted to get involved with a person like that? Listen to your friends.

Now i know i wasnt there, and i probably shouldnt bother with my two cents. Because if i was put in the same situation i dont know what i would do. But if i was to meet someone, and i thought they were sitting with friends but i wasnt really sure if it was them or not, i probably wouldnt approach them to see if it was them or not, i would hang back and wait for a chance to catch them off by themselves to introduce myself. Now if i was sure who it was, and just chickened out, well thats one thing, nerves do play a factor in meeting new people. But to not approach them because the person is not what you had hoped for, well thats just a tad bit shallow, and you would deserve the tongue lashings that are going on. Ginger im sorry it happened to you, you deserve better.
