I have never had the pleasure to see these lichens. I don't believe they are common in Indiana or maybe I have seen them and did not take notice. I will keep my eyes open for these lichens on my hikes this year.

I love plants like these I'm also a big fan of many types of cactus and succulents as my growing collection would attest too...lol "A couple bucks will get you on the subway, but garlic will get you a seat."

This is a phenomenon I've never witnessed. They sound beautiful and I'm wondering if they are in my part of the world. I will admit I'm more of an animal and tree lover and overall Botany has never been an interest, but these do sound intriguing. bud Always Ready for Fun.
