A beautiful sign of life growing from the depths of winter. They appear like a sign of life where none has been seen for some time. They have to bring optimism to those who have been thinking of the endless winter.

We're all ready for spring.

A fairy tale whose origin escapes me now, tells of how Snow searched everywhere for a colour, and finally was granted the white by snowdrops ('snow bells' is our term for them). In return, the snowdrops earned the right to push their way through the Snow every spring.

We have had an early thaw here but only the streets can be seen at the moment.

You have to get down on your hands and knees to see the signs of spring poking up! And they are there.
