Wild Romance Greetings to all the members of the Perv Nation out here in the bloglands. Happy fat Tuesday laissez les bon temps rouler mes bon amis! Yes I do know what that means and how to say it, parlez vous Francais le petit.  (I just don't know how to write it!) On to the title of this blog, despite the weather it is chronologically spring. This is the time when a young skunk's fancy turns to love. And when more than one male declares his love for any female of his species, fights occur. Skunks will use any weapon they have to win their lady loves affection, including chemical weapons. And apparently, a lot like people these fights happen in the wee hours of the morning. Living in rural flyover country, and going to work at o-dark thirty, I will be happily going along, running my heater, and suddenly want to gag. This happens at a minimum a couple times a drive. Sorry for the fragrant drive, but this made me laugh...I love how you wrote it! I happen to travel on a winding road on the way to my daughter's school where one particular corner tends to have a lot of skunk road kill...so I feel your pain just not as often!

I don't have a gag reflex {yeah, I know  } but the smell of skunk, ugh...JM back in college days him and a friend got eau de skunk in a bottle and put it in the ac ducts in a couple of places, and still on some muggy mississippi days, ya can still smell it after all these years

Oh so very true! Nothing like warm weather to get the "juices" flowing! Then again here in flyover country we get about 48 hours between winter and summer and just hope spring falls on a weekend!Take it easy, guns are cold.Take it easy, guns are cold.

And on behalf of all mankind I would like to thank you or the lack! As for being able to smell skunk on still muggy Mississippi days after all these years, the buildings permanently smell like skunk? Take it easy, guns are cold.when i was going out to AZ years ago, after jm died, was out in the middle of nowhere, in places that had no skunks, and yeah still smelled it couple of times...figuring the ghost of jm was fucking with me, who knows
