Aldershot

After all the years of being on here the flaw I love and loathe in equal measure is 'Aldershot'.

For those not familiar with the geography of southern England Aldershot was once the proud home of the British Army. How do I know this? Well the town sign on the road in said 'Home of the British Army'. Anyway the army in numbers left years ago leaving behind a town that looks like its largest employer has closed.

For some reason that only the site owners might be able to explain when someone creates a profile and does not enter their place of residence the site defaults to the town at the top of the alphabetically ordered pick list - Aldershot. So there are hundreds of profiles where the person would appear to live there.

I'm not certain if the same glitch on VisionPersonals.com operates elsewhere in the world - Billancourt in France seems a popular place and after all B is close to the start of the alphabet.

Anyway the illusion that just 8 miles down the road was a town populated by so many women looking for sex has, like the British Army, long since gone.
