A Good Day Good morning World! Today is a good day. At 10:59AM, 9 years ago exactly, our only came into this world a healthy and happy bundle of joy. It is also 10 years ago today that I stopped smoking as well. Talking with some friends last night, my found out I used to smoke. He thought it very strange since he has never seen me smoke or drink. I think today will be a great day! I even refused the temptations of doughnuts for breakfast as that is what the boy wanted to eat. I bought them for everyone else but I stay away from them. We did. I'm just sorry the boy wasn't feeling well. I took him to the doctors office yesterday. He's fine. Turns out to just be a passing viral infection.

Hope the party was lots of fun. Christmas trees up in October????? 10 years not smoking...congratulations. Sad to say, I'm still puffing away.   I have three of them up in my house at the moment. There will be at least two more 4-foot trees to be put up in bedrooms. Possibly even a third four foot tree. Then there will be roughly 12 or so 12 inch tall table top trees scattered all over the house. I don't plan on going all out this year but I never really know exactly what I'll put up. It changes every year. My brother in law just did an arrangement for one side of our banister to the stairway. I think I'll do the other side soon but not sure what. I'd like to at least come close to matching what BIL did.Tomorrow I'm taking lil man to the doctor. His fever is over 100 and has been with him since Friday. It's time for his wellness checkup anyway.

It's so true isn't it? Sadly, I can see my son also taking on some of my not so good traits as well. I really do have a great son but we butt heads at times because we are so much alike. I worry about him sometimes as he is such an emotional character yet I don't want him to change. I like my kid being sensitive about others. He will grow up to be a very loving man.

Thank Jack! And welcome to my home. You are welcome anytime. Fighting addictions seems like something I've been doing most of my life. Now being diabetic, the sweets are one of my many other addictions I'm trying to win with. Luckily, I'm doing much better than three months ago.

Enjoy spending the day with your son, celebrating and bonding... psst....sometimes, it is ok to give into temptation..within reason.. As for "within reason" that has sort of always been my problem. I do things in excess! Drank... too damn much... Smoked... two packs a day... Smoked left handed cigs.... well. lets not go there. Thank God it's all in my past. I'm glad to be alive and hope to stay that way for a long time to come. Wishing you were here at the moment. I can envision your smile at this moment and I think it might just be infectious!  and I don't even know what you really look like!
