June-December Relationship

So, its been a while since I've been in a relationship. I have enjoyed it when I have been in one. However, all of my relationships before have been with individuals within my relationship range ie +/- 5 years. Recently, I meet someone and we have great sexual chemistry but we both realized we have great inter-personal chemistry. You know that kind of relaxed bond, where you are just comfortable with someone. The major concern for me thought is that I'm 35 and he is 54...

I know that inter-generational relationships are a thing in the gay community but I wasn't wanting one. I'm kind of old fashioned in the vision of finding someone who will grow old with me and not I watch them grow old and go without me. There is also the issue I find where I'm uncomfortable with the idea of having a relationship with someone who is as old my own parents.

It's something we have talked about a little bit. We both recognize something is there between us, we haven't really expressed what we want to do yet about it. Travel for work means he is out of town a lot but comes back into town about once a month. So, looking for advice or suggestions from people who have gone through it or are in a relationship like this. Thank you.

I think you shouldn't look at the age issue when all is working. Very rare for two people to connect beyond the "sexual connection". Give it a try and see how far it will go. You won't know unless you take a chance and life is too short not to take some chances. Good luck on this when you do take a chance.

I forgot to mention that I was in a great M2M relationship with 69 y/o man when I was in my mid-40s... and it would have continued if he didn't pass away. I never regretted being involved with him.
