Is this...................................... like your workplace?  Although where I work has always been physically hard, we've always managed to have a laugh. Well, until the past year or two. They keep putting more and more work onto us with no extra time allocated. It's worse than kindergarten. You have to watch everything you say, or you'll get reported. I'm having some leave time soon, in which I'm hoping to find another job. Been looking for a while it's not easy, but have to stay there until I find some thing else, unless someone can tell me the winning numbers in lotto.  |

I know how you feel, back in the day we could say anything to each other and have a good laugh, now you can't say almost anything. It feel so fake and it is fake, you have to whisper or make sure the trouble makers aren't around, Jobs just aren't that much fun anymore.

I remember when 1st arriving in Oz I had two things against me...............1. I was a Pom 2. I had a WOG surname. Things did get nasty at one job I had, so I don't agree with being nasty with being PC, but it has gone too far. We all work because we have to not because we want to, so why not try and have a laugh to make the day pass easier?

At this rate I'll never retire. They keep raising the age of retirement. If they keep going, I'll be moving into a nursing home once I can leave work.  I hope your prediction comes true.

I understand what you mean, at this age, were tired of working!! I have five more years of work in me, then I'm done! Hang in there babe, and take some time for yourself on your days off!! If they don't change things again, I've got nearly eight years to go.  Who wants to work at that age? Let us retire and open up jobs for the younger ones.Looking forward to my time off, only one week to go.

It's disgraceful how the workplace has become a place of dreading going to every shift. We have become numbers and are told that if we don't like the extra workload, then there's the door. I won't need a butler, as I'll be on the move, but I could need a tour guide.

Good luck in your search for new work. In my work the robot's me! I am actually going for an interview tomorrow afternoon. Everything crossed I get the job, with enough hours for me to leave where I am now.
