S A T I S F A C T I O N

I recently watched the Australian Showtime series "Satisfaction" based on the lives and loves of a group of women working in a high end city brothel. The show explores the relationships of six women working in a brothel, it delivers full-frontal nudity and steamy sex scenes. I have always been personally curious about what it’s like to be a woman who has sex for money—I mean who hasn’t had a secret fantasy about being a high class ?--It is interesting to me to read the value judgments of people saying it is demoralizing or degrading. I think it is another form of customer service. I see nothing wrong with the idea. Hiring a sex professional is the same as hiring any other professional, like a doctor, lawyer, or auto mechanic. You pay them money for a service. It doesn't matter what the service is: if you're nice to the professional, you generally get a better result than if you aren't. There is nothing wrong with earning money for doing something you love to do. To have sex when you want it, with whom you want it, and where you want it seems to me like it is well worth paying for. It's just like ordering pizza delivered. You're paying extra for convenience and service.

i agree, there is a serious stereotype associated with it. no different than paying for anything else.

That's an intersting what to look at it, With that said I must say that I agree wholeheartedly with your opinion on it but the argument I get from the other side is that sex is not a service. What's your take on that?

I think that indeed sex can be provided as a service. The definition of "service" :

*an act of helpful activity; help; aid: to do someone a service.

*the supplying or supplier of commodities required or demanded by the public.

*the providing or a provider of accommodation and activities required by the public, as maintenance, repair, etc.: The manufacturer guarantees service and parts.

*the organized system of apparatus, appliances, employees, etc., for supplying some accommodation required by the public: a television repair service.

*the supplying or a supplier of public communication and transportation: telephone service; bus service.

*the performance of duties or the duties performed as or by a waiter or servant; occupation or employment as a waiter or servant.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Everyone wants there job to be something they love.
