How to cook a banana
How to cook a banana It is very important to first put the banana in a warm, moist oven and heat it to body temperature. A good oven is very important and should not be underestimated in banana preparation. While in the oven it will be cooking in natural juice. After some rotation and taking it out and putting it back in (typically at an accelerating rate), it is now ready to eat. It is important not to rush the cooking process, and the cook should allow the cooking process to follow its own natural course. Adjusting heat and temperature controls on other parts of the oven is encouraged and many times leads to more intense flavors. "Kissing" or "stroking" the top of the oven may speed the process but result vary greatly. Experiment here. Before taking it out and eating, one should remember to first ask your assistant (or perhaps head cook) if it has been rotated and moved enough to her satisfaction. If not, it can be returned to the oven for additional cooking time. If during the cooking process the banana breaks before the oven's assistant is satisfied, it can be eaten immediately by the cook and / or the assistant. A new one can be put into the oven at the request of the assistant. There are many interesting options in banana preparation. An international favorite is to place chocolate sauce or whipped cream in or around oven, particularly the temperature controls. More adventurous cooks can tilt the oven vertically and add wine (I personally prefer red) to enhance the oven's natural flavorings. For best results it is important to communicate effectively with your assistant. Team work is very important to achieve the perfect taste. Happy cooking (and eating!) |
